I pretty stoked right now i just bought a 2001 xr50 for $400 bones? Is that good? im feeling as though it is. The guy said it hasnt ran in a year so he said come pick it up for 400 bucks. I changed the gas kicked it over and it purrrrred. Now what do i need to do to hook it up. Where do i start?

You need some big handle bars for starters there are a number of different bar kits out there now. BBR and Fast50s are a couple that come to mind, stiffer springs are always good (super easy mod). You can get some decent new forks for like 150 if your bent ones give you trouble. If your planning on doing mostly street stunting I'd recommend atleast getting some street tires for it.

Thats pretty much the basic starting mods anyone does with a 50

other then that your good to go!
