im trying to learn nth(no throttle hand). How high do u guys turn up your idle? I know it might be differnet for everybody due to weight and such but any tips would be great.

70....then ill learn on the hundo!

 

turn it up high enough to where it engages the clutch (of course)


play with it, you'll figure out what RPM is best for you, althought for learning alot of poeple keep the RPM's highish...

 

will it be easier if i get a handbrake?

 

Depends on were your feet are, if you are doing no throttle hand stunt peg circles, it will help... staggered, you can cover with the brake pedal. Seat stander, handbrake will help,...sit down, use brake pedal. you feel me? Handbrake opens up a new world of tricks. Those that don't run them just like to brag about not runnin one, but their bag of tricks is not very deep, I guess its an ego thing. Get one!

 

i cna do no throttle ahdns any way...i really dont see the need for a handbrake on a fiddy.....i cna do them on the peg...seat....whatever

 

BS everythign can be done with OUT just takes less skill with one ive rode both and still do the same things with or without it ...........makes no difference to me just takes some of the little bit of danger out of it ill get one when i feel like dropping 90dollars on a 50 thats not worth 50cents till then ill keep on expanding my bag of tricks without one im just sick of people saying you need one to do certin things on a 50 that you dont

 

my hand brake was only $15. I can ride HC forever without touching my handbrake ,but Id rather have it there just in case.the only trick that I cant do without it is HC circles. w/out I can only get 1,w/ it I got 10+ consistently

 

you can do nth seat standers for more than 3 seconds without a HB

 

just crank the idle pretty high.. i dunno rpm wise.. make sure to do them in 2nd or 3rd.. 1st gear will overpower the brake... they are cake... no handers with no back rest is where it's hard

 

+1 when u get to no handers your probaby gonna wanna rig up something to sit back on.

my point is that you said HB are pointless on 50s, but this trick could only be done for a couple seconds w/out a HB, but with one it could be done a long distance

 

+1 to that, I like riding past the balance point in my combos, without a HB the front wheel is lower and tricks don't look as good. I can do all my tricks with no HB, but when I link 15 tricks in a circle combo its almost impossible without one, Seat standers feel gay without a HB cuz I like rockin um past the BP all the time, it feels better to me and the front wheel comes up higher. I just got my HB on my 450 and love it too, I do stuff I have never seen anyone do on a motard, it opens up more possibilities for sure, thats why the top riders have um. with a stock motor I can get away with alot more, once I added 88cc kit, the handbrake comes in handy even more, specially for 40 mph stunt peg stand ups through twisty turns, downhill!

IF your gonna hate on a hand brake, you might as well hate on EVERY SINGLE aftermarket parts.

No springs, no tires, no big bars. There all cheater. Everything can be done on a stock fiddy right? So why not do it?

Not how I roll, i'l keep adding aftermarket parts to make my ride more enjoyable. :YEAH

 

May as well take the foot brake off to, if handbrakes are not usefull, either is a footbrake! just ride like Hoffman on bmx, no brakes

 

yes, but saying you CAN'T do certain tricks on a fiddy is a VERY bold statement to make, there ARE poeple doing HC circles no HB for days. i mean come on...it's a fiddy!
