xr70r

can an xr70r be stunted as easily as a fiddy or should I just try and get a fiddy?I have a chance to get a minty03' xr70r for $800 with a fmf pipe on it or I can get a 05'crf50 with 2 hours of riding on it for about the same price what should I get and where can I get mini motard tires for either bike? I only have a few hours to decide.

Re: xr70r

i've heard mixed reviews about the 70.....some say it's underpowered and takes to much effort to really stunt, others stand by it like nothing else.

ride both and then decide. I've ridden both a 70 and a 50 and i prefer the 50, just more fun IMHO.

Re: xr70r

thanx ,gun I'm gonna go with a fiddy. the two I was deciding on on ebay are gone ,so I'll have to look for another 50 used or go to the dealer and grab a new one! there's got to be a reason that everyone here has a fiddy, and not many 70's and I saw someone stunting one last night at this super badass stunt spot in pompano beach, fla.,doing highchairs, 12's so I'm convinced that the 50 is gonna be fun as hell!

I own the 70 and have rocked a 50 many times. I like the 70 more because it fits straight from the dealership, needs no mods to do anything and is easier to wheelie at speed IMO. The fiddy is nice going super slow but the 70 can do both. I prefer the 70 all around because it's already faster and works better for jumps too. I raced my friend on his SDG and took him, but can't recall whether he beat me when we switched up. Personally if you can get the 70 for the same price or cheaper its the way to go IMO. It's not like I was stuck with the 70, I got what I have for a reason..

Oh, and yes it takes a bit longer to get accomodated to the 70 and get **** down but it's worth it...otherwise **** would get boring.

Re: xr70r

70's are sweet, I love mine, here is some footage of the 70 in action.
It is a great all around bike and needs alot less parts for an adult to mash one, lol.

You Dont Need Mods To Stunt Anything..maybe A Nice Lever And Some Bars And Thats About It......mods Are For People Who Make Excuses Saying They Need This Certain Part To Get Better

I can't comfortably ride a fiddy without at least a bar kit. And a lot of people don't buy fiddys JUST to stunt, and most anything on a fiddy requires some mods so long as you weigh more then 100lbs and are taller then 5'5. And by rock out on a fiddy, what do you mean...What all did you have down on it to say you don't need anything. And don't bring up schooler...he's just a damn goddess on a mini bike

Stock 50 suspension sucks!! I seen fork legs bend doin stoppies and hittin tini street hits. I can't even ride a 50 without big bar kit and suspension minimum, unless I stick to striaght flatland stuff like motard and flatland stunts, but that aint my style. I can mash a stock 70 though!

Your right, I forgot my mini motard track at the shop has 2 dirt hits on it and a steet hit too, I guess I can't do anything on a stock 50 cept some combos down the block, cuz as soon as I leave the ground, its gonna bend and break, and I can't ride a motorcycle without jumping it, even busted some street hits on the f4i I just bought, lol.

Re: xr70r

u don't really need to mod a 50 unless your tall. my 50 is all stock, dirt tires and all and i can rock out on it. SS, HC's, circles, stoppies, coasters, no-handers, no-hand coasters, spreader circles, HC circles, 50-50 circles, fast circles, front fender grab circles, mad combos, etc, etc.
