Re: Jumping my XR50 WOW :0

A stock 05 crf 50 wieghs like 107 lbs. i believe . I notice it when you hit a jump and the bike feels like its falling out of the sky cause you are not really going very fast . I like to hit the jump still sitting in the seat(or maybe an inch off seat) and stand up a little while in the air . If you are standing on the pegs when you hit the jump i think the weight of the rider makes the rear tire fall to the ground first . Resulting in you landing like you are in a wheelie . If you hit the jump at top speed or while your zippin in third , be prepared for a squirrely landing . The size of the rider is a big factor too .

Oh yeah , wear some gear .

Damn , this thread is like a month old . Sorry .

Re: Jumping my XR50 WOW :0

i agree with sitting on the seat off the lip. every time i try to stand up on the launch i wad up. just power off the lip on the seat and stand up a little when you land, it works for me.

Re: Jumping my XR50 WOW :0

It just like jumping anything else

Stay on the throttle throughout the jump.. Don't let off the gas before you come off the jump or you nose dive, and dont come off at full throttle or you go back..

The only thing different is things go bad FAST on a fiddy.. on a 4 wheeler or dirt bike, if somthing goes wrong like the bike falls to the side, it BARLEY falls to the side and just scares you.. You could be clearing 20 foot jumps and get a lil crooked and have no problems..

Whereas on a 3 foot jump on a fiddy, you go crooked and you may be landing on your *** lol

I'v never hit a good feeling jump on my fiddy tell the other day, but its in a VERY un safe location.. ITs a grass hill coming up to a parking lot with the parking lot being the landing.. I get the most air off that jump I ever got off a jump, gonna make a video today of it and will post up.

But im still only getting like 2-3 foot of air, and traveling around 5-10 foot

Now your gonna have to wait a few days lol

Tranny on my bike has been ****ed up and poping out of gears.. Last night I was rocing a second gear sit down at around 20-30mph.. It poped out of second and poped into third on its own!

Ripped my 12 bar off, bent my handle bars, and broke my brake lever..

Im not riding my bike tell I get my tranny fixed, too scary lol

Can't wait tell my new sprocket comes in the mail so I can put my 4 speed tranny in
