knock off 50'z

well, a Honda(name brand) will go for about $1500 new, i didnt want to pay that much for a lill pit bike i was just going to beat up so i did the next best thing. eBayed up a "Firme" 110cc pit bike. it looks exzactly like a honda 50. I was wondering if anyone else has gotten a "knock off" fiddy and how they compair to the name brand fiddy's going around. i plan to pimp the **** out of it and change everything over to aftermarket soon but i just want a heads up. i got the damn thing for 200 bucks BRAND NEW!

Re: knock off 50'z

never heard of that brand .... i would get nothing but honda for stunting ... but i have read some really good reviews about some different knockoffs from pro mx racers over at fiddylife.com

Re: knock off 50'z

Its going to be pretty hard to mod. It looks to me that if you wanted to mod it, it would come out to more than if you just bought anew crf50 and got some aftermarket parts. Oh, and by the way, what were you going to change?

Re: knock off 50'z

In my opinion, not that it counts, but all the knock offs are cheap imitations that lack quality across the board. My roomy bought a 110 all decked out for $700 bones and the thing is a piece. Always falling apart and he is constantly working on it. Spend the good dough and do it right if you plan on stunting. To me if I purchase something and have to replace parts immediately on it, then its not a good buy. So far he has replaced a tube, came flat with a hole in it, handlebar clamp, stripped it out, spokes were loose, seat is already compressed and material is stretching and the rear mastercyl. leaks like a sive. He is 175lbs and barely rides it, goes to show you that you get what you pay for and then have to spend more to keep it running. My 2 cents.

Re: knock off 50'z

for the price though, I think its a awsome deal..

Even if you have problems, or break stuff. It was only $200!

Have you ever rode a honda fiddy? How fast is it compaired to one?

Re: knock off 50'z

looks gay huh? as far as i can tell it looks exzactly like a honda... i have not ridden it yet, nor have i ridden a honda; so i can not compair it yet but i will let ya all know on tuesday when it gets here. If i dont like it ill byte the bullet and go get a crf for 1200 but with mods i think it will be just fine.

That was my logic for buying a knockoff, mines been through hell adn still kicking, as long as youre not completely mechanically incompetent you should be able to keep it running.

the front end is VERY long, which gives the bike a "goofy" type of stance. tighten/raising the rear suspension will get ride of that look, plus overall the entire bike will look a lil more raised up.

lemme know how it goes, i'm only 60 bucks shy of 200 and if it's anything close to halfway decent i'm pretty sure i'll get one.

Re: knock off 50'z

no aftermarket parts, hard to find replacment stock parts and no quality like a Honda. Better off getting a used Honda than a new knockoff. hope it works out for you.

Re: knock off 50'z

the company i bought the bike from said they were having problems with their account so they canceled their account on eBay. i called them and asked what was up to see if they were guna scam me somehow but they are legit. they are still in business but are just working some stuff out. i forgot to mention that it costs me 250 to ship the thing to my house tho so the total for the bike was about 450. there are some other knock off's on eBay for like 500 which included shipping.
