Lighting stators and headlight kits...

Anyone interested in purchasing a lighting kit for your fiddy?

It would include...
90 watt stator,
voltage regulator,
55 watt fog light,
wires and connectors,
handlebar mounted headlight/kill switch,
instructions...

All you would need is to figure out how to mount the light on your particular setup.

I think It would run about $140 - $160 for the complete setup ready to go.

Anyone interested?

Re: Lighting stators and headlight kits...

Here is the stator setup I have on my bike. I also have the stator puller tool in another listing in the Ebay store.

Re: Lighting stators and headlight kits...

All you need is a few butt connectors and a ground connextor and about 2 feet of wire. Most do-it-yourfelfers have that in thier garages.

Retail price on all that is much higher! I believe retail is over $200 on all those parts. Im not making much profit with them but they are so cool! lol

Re: Lighting stators and headlight kits...

Was not a bad price at all, I have that setup as well bought from Shugga, Works Great!! I thought about wraping the stator by myself, but then I realized that I had no idea what I was doing and my time is money, and I did not want to waste money on wraping the stator just to have it blow up! LOL Bought the kit, had it installed and wired in about 45mins. And the lite/kill switch is the Sh**!!

Re: Lighting stators and headlight kits...

i just went to a camping store and bought one of those 2 million candle flashlight things the small ones that you are suppost to like strap to your head or whatever, then i ziptied it to my handlebars. Works great, even on trails at night cost me 40 bucks. Plus it has high beam low beam and strobe effect

Re: Lighting stators and headlight kits...

You can get a stator form Baja Designs and other off road catologues and you just put in the new stator and you buy whatever kind of light you want and hook it up.

Re: Lighting stators and headlight kits...

It strange, eveyone says it way expensive but its marked way down from retail.

You need the lighting stator which generally cost about $99.
You need a voltage regulator which generally cost about $19.99
Then you need a headlight and a switch. You can goto pep boys and buy a set of those cheep lights for $20, but after some serious riding, man it sucks when they blow out on a road trip! lol. Been there, done that. Then you need a decent switch and about 2 feet of wire.

I cant really include wiriing in the kit because depending on your frame, forks, bars, triple clamp, where you mount the components, etc it will all vary. The bikes are NOT made for lights so its kinda a custom thing.

Re: Lighting stators and headlight kits...

Oh yeah, and the Stuff in that "kit" I made up are the following...

Parts Unlimited part #2112-0024 - Rick's Lighting Stator - $129.95
Parts Unlimited part #2112-0090 - Moose Voltage Regulator- $13.95
Parts Unlimited part #12-0050 - K&S Mini Headlight Switch w/ Kill - $28.95
Parts Unlimited part #CH0734 - Chris Products Rectangular Light - $18.95

This is a retail price of over $190 and with tax here is like $207 or so. So $160 sounded like a good deal to me. It was 16.6% off retail. Not too bad.

I have since found a low priced 95W stator for the XR50 and have dropped the kit price to $140.
