no they are just forking with you...the xr and crf are basicly the same bikes, the xr s just older(cheaper) but the crf looks alittle cooler i think. eighter one will do the trick

just different plastic, slightly different seat pans, different color fenders, and some other parts are different colors.......
there are no chassis or engine differences, same weights (within a few ounces.....), same size.......
get whichever you can get cheaper.......these things are kind of hard to kill.....so even a 00 or 01 model will probably be just fine and run like a brand new one (especially if a little kid owned it)......maybe throw a set of rings in it (bbr has complete brand new takeoff topends) and ride the crap out of it....... :YEAH
