can't wheelie with legs on pegs :(
I can't wheelie for the life of me with my legs on my pegs =\
I have a stock crf50, only had it 2 weeks.. With my legs dangling off the bike I can do 2nd gear wheelies for blocks..
But with my legs on the pegs, I tip over EVERY time.. I haven't hit no longer then a 20-30 foot wheelie with my legs on the pegs
It seems like im advancing pretty quickly with my legs dangling a couple inches off the ground, but it has to look ghetto me riding like that.. I dont seem to advance at all with my legs on the pegs

practice makes perfect, it took over a month for me to learn how to wheelie my fiddy ( had no one to ride with and teach me)
just ride everyday and practice, youll hit 'em

ya I haven't had any toys to ride, so I kinda quit going to forums =\
It sucks now that I got a fiddy, everyone I know got rid of theres lol..
Im getting that piece of **** I was driving before fixed up, all new plastics, frame, wheels, paint, everything.. We should go ride in a couple weeks if you have a bike :YEAH
Re: can't wheelie with legs on pegs :(
youve got to get really really loose with your knees, wheelie like to times and wiggle ur knees all over the place, body movement is what keeps u up from side to side,
Re: can't wheelie with legs on pegs :(
an hour a day is allll ya need... my farthest is probably a mile, or close to it in 2nd gear.. but cars keep getin in the way.. once you get the hang of it it's sooo easy, you don't even think while u're doing them... goodl uuuuuucik,, and stop bein a sissy

After 1 week I finaly hit balance point..
The way I learned, first gear in the grass, I just kept trying tell I hit balance point..
Once I hit balance point, I was like wow, thats easy.. Then I kept doing them in the grass for a couple days tell I was comfortable with bailing and hitting balance point, then I went for the concrete..
Keeping my feet off the pegs helps me ALOT, so I can keep my balance side to side, and incase I go back..
I can do 100+ foot wheelies consitently now with my legs off the pegs, but my normal wheelies are still suckin =\
Re: can't wheelie with legs on pegs :(
drag ur feet in first....and once u get throttle and bp....its all downhill..i just lernd brake and still trian to work some things on that.....its easy...one day ur just ganna b able to do it.....
Re: can't wheelie with legs on pegs :(
As you can see from my avatar I finally got some ***** and just did it.
Its all just a mental thing, I felt as if I was going back so i'd drag my legs a couple inches off the ground like a fool..
Still working though, hopfully within a few weeks i'l be doing circles

I notice in your avatar that you are leaning forward and it looks like your knees are tucked in close to the tank. I find it a lot easier to lean back and straighten my arms. It is easier to control your side to side movement if you keep your legs spread a bit. Here are a couple of pics of me when everything on my bike was stock except for the springs. My bars are now moved forward and I added a lift kit. She's a lot more comfortable for my 6ft 190lb *** now.
