my top speed isn't more than 25 mph either...last time i checked a fiddy will do 30-35...

what the hell does that have to do with rolling resistance. not to mention that bearings in bicycles are a lot better than the ones in things with engines (which you seem to know so much about right?)

rolling resistance huh? so you guys were just saying in this very thread that using the enginbebrake a fiddy has by not switching into a false nuetral is a cheater way of doing coasters....(although i'd pay money to see someone go from top of second to gear to 5mph on a fiddy using engine brake alone)
well if the rolling resistance is more i don't see how that's cheating, you'd roll less distance.
and yes the fiddy prolly does have more rolling resistance than a bicycle but not by that much.
but the simple fact is that it's not enough, and i've yet to see anyone of you roll more than 400 feet on a fiddy.
i've seen it doe but others, just not you guys

well lemme see.....25mph=400 feet ona bicycle.....how far you tihnk i could roll from 35?
what i'm saying is, so far, none of you guys can roll 400 mph topped out on your fiddy.

wow, that's an ignorant thing to say.
you said something about how bikes roll farther. that's due to resistance and weight. it's possible to roll 200ft coasters on a 50 in the false neutral. get a bike with a motor then start talking smack. until then get a job

Re: coasters?
pete, you rollin 400 on you bike has nothign to do with the fact that its not a coaster on a fiddy unless you bring it to neutral. you may be coasting down, but its not a true coaster. no one said it was cheating, they stated it wasnt a coaster.

so get going at what...15....20...25 mph even???
when i learned how to do them on my bike, i started at 5-7 mph, and they were short, but if i ever ****ed up i could easily put my feet down.
do you know anyone who can run at 25mph?
i wouldn't want to offer someone with NO coaster experience to go that fast and try a coaster. knowing the strength of a stock fiddy's rear brake, and someone who lacks the relfexs/experience to use it.....sounds like a recipe for disaster to me
you may be coasting down, but its not a true coaster.
gotta walk before you can crawl
no one said it was cheating, they stated it wasnt a coaster.
qouting mr. ryan smith.."WRONG, THAT IS A CHEATER WAY AND DEFINATELY NOT A REAL COASTER"
so yes.....someone did

He might of just not known about the false neutral. I could wheelie my fifty fine before I found out about the false neutral. Re: coasters?

I never debated the fact that it's not a "real" caoster unless you hit a false nuetral, but i did debate the fact that it seems stupid and almost irresonsible to tell someone without true caoster experience to pin thier **** and then try it.
sounds to me like a way for someone to have a real bad day.

Re: coasters?
you can bring up 3rd slow enough to not get hurt, its what i did, third gear bring it past balance point pull up the shifter and stay on the brake. not hard, i wouldnt suggest doing a coaster untill you can slow down atleast 2nd to almost a stop but, if he wants to learn he'll learn.
