Re: Yamaha Stepped up to the plate!

They are light as hell! Does this mean less durable? Time will tell.

Re: Yamaha Stepped up to the plate!

too bad it's much too late. the aftermarket is already established for the xr/crf. no way yamaha will dethrone honda as the mini king. only way is if they made a factory "mod" 50 like the sikk 50 or similar for a reasonable price and factory quality.

Probably around august..If I stop by the dealer today, I'll find out. And 82 lb's vs. the 104 or so on the crf? Theres not much you can do to lighten a 50 without taking away metal..Sorry boys, but I think this 50 is for the kids only..

Re: Yamaha Stepped up to the plate!

Those definetly look better than the CRF. They should have put disc brakes on it. I don't think it has a kickstart on it though.

Re: Yamaha Stepped up to the plate!

Re: Yamaha Stepped up to the plate!

if you look close alot of it looks almost identical to the xr/crf. i would still be amazed if they build aftermarket support even close to that of the xr/crf. i'd like to see it though. competition is always good for the consumer
