Fu(k Dell

Brand new top of the line laptop - only 3 months old ... fu(king died this morning....everything I had 80 Gigs of data gone ... all my video ... pics ... web sites ...

jackass - not my fault their laptops are built like **** and cannot properly dissipate heat and fries the drive....

nope I asked - the tech said - sorry nothing we can do ... bout to take me **** to a data recovery center and spend the fat loot to get my **** recovered...

No I am a network admin, I know to do backups - its second nature... just havent done one yet on my personal ****....didn't think I'd have a problem on a laptop I just got....

My father-in-law had to do the same thing here a few months back. I believe he got 100% recovery for around $150.00.

i would backup a laptop 10x more then i do my desktop, reason being the laptops have next to no cooling in them, and my guess you just leave it running at night beause they are silent right? Or is your left hand numb because every dell laptop i've tried out, the hard drive is directly under your left palm and if your on it for hours on end the damn thing makes your hand sweat, that would give me enough reason to turn it off for a while

. Which dell was it? I was gettin ready to order a 600m.

No way never keep them running over night it comes home with me from work and sits in the bag ... like I said above **** overheats because there is no heat dissipation at all...Its the Latitude D800 too ....

should get a coolpad, I have a emachine, m8611 and that thing over heated because the **** on the bottom broke off but with the cool pad doesn't even get hot AT ALL! I use to hate when I was on it for ever and my left hand would melt because of the tempatures now it is cool.
