Mysterious here is the cable brad is reffering to atleast the one I am running. It is a clutch cable and I had to have one inch of the inner cable cut off to make it work.. its a honda part and cost me like $18.99.

here is also a picture of the brake setup I am running.. there is an alluminum piece that bolts on to the bottom holes in the brake lever and the cable stop mounts in the top hole on the lever. then the aluminum peice screws down onto the back piece and squeezes the cable stop between them..

part number:

thanks man.....thats a good idea you got there.....
but if that is as far down the swing arm as that cable goes it might not work for me....

you see i cut off the chain guard bracket from the left side of the swing to clean up the look.
then ding! i was gonna shape it and weld it to the inner right side. drill the whole alittle bigger and tighten the nuts up like that....kinda like ur black bracket......

i think the cable brad runs goes all the way back to the rear hub....that was my plan aswell.....so that cable might be to short????

im gonna go tomorrow and see what my options are?

thanks for the help thou

let me kno how well it works when ur done bro!

yea it will be too short for you then.. this one runs to there and thats pretty much it.

yea that pic was one I found looking through my pics file for you. It was from when i was setting it all up. Its all complete and working now. works pretty good but it wont lock up the rear wheel.. Not sure how much of that might be the brakes being toast tho either. I did the brake mod and it helped but now it seems like the rear is worthless again.. good luck with your fab kit let us know how it turns out!

i went to walmart and by the bikes they have a cable set for redoing a mountain bike. comes with 2 derailur cables and 2 brake cables, the rear one is a bit too long, just pull the cable out, trim it to the correct size and there you have it. 4 bucks and some change. cant beat it.
