well i don't have one but have been looking at them, and the MSRP for a xr50 is 1099.
As far as a 50 or bigger, i'm pretty sure everyone here will tell you to get the 50.
Check out cycleworlds march issue, they have about a 5 page write up about how big the xr50 scene has grown.

If you want something small to **** around on anytime of the day go with an XR50. If you want something a little more serious that you can do lots of tricks on.. Get a CRF150

The CRF150 is also a honda. It's much bigger and is awesome for any stunt you wanna do. It's also sick for stoppies. List on these things is $2799..

up thereHey get the damn 50 I was gonna' get somethin else like an 80 or some **** and that's that I wasn't sure and everyone was like yo fiddy's is where it's at and I $$$ one! I love that little thing for real it's the best! can't stop!

Go with the xr50r .. you can get one or many through naults in new hampshire.@ www.naults.com and if you do get one there ask for Chris Mcneil from(core6). He'll treat you right

I bought an xr100 a month ago. The main reason was to start 12's on it. I love it too, but now I'm also wanting a fiddy. Is that 150 a four stroke or a two? I noticed it has disc brakes and that is the one thing I'd change about my xr100. Drum brakes just isn't the same
