there's gonna be honda enthusiasts that will be aiming to kill, that bike is a collectors item. i've been trying to get my greedy hands on one for a while. to no avail.

CONGRATS BRO, there's plenty of power to do mad **** on that thing. install the xr70 cam for more torque. your dealer may say it doesn't work, but it does, just tell them to re adjust the valve lash. ANY XR50 MOTOR MODS WILL WORK FOR THAT PIECEk.

AND ITS STREET LEGAL!!! :YEAH

Thumbs down NO!

Don't bust that bike up man!! Seriuosly, 10-20 yrs. from now when you look back on all of the stupid **** you've done in your life... This decision I guarantee will be one of them. You know how you hear those old bastards going on and on about "Damn, I wish I still had my old baseball card collection" That will be you. Each dealer supposedly got 2 of these back in 88. Unfortunately people like DAVE87 got their abusive little hands on them. I'll give you a 2000 XR in excellent condition with all kindsa aftermarket goodies right now for that bike.
