Fuscat - Yeah, I used to rock a '96 Buell S1. Was pretty decent at basic wheelies, and had 200 ft stoppies on it...that was hot **** about 2 years ago when the pros were only going 400-500ft in competition. I liked that bike a lot, but am totally diggin' my 900RR Streetfighter these days.

Re: got some stuff back from anodizing

Wow! Our bikes were very similar! Same rear end mods (no fender, liscense plate kit, etc..), same exhaust (I had my header coated by HPC for a polished alum. look), same color, etc.. I had the PM wheels, and quite a bit of chrome/polishing done. I had an extra set of black furred out stunt plastics that I used to use, with the larger Manta Ray tank (helped to dig your knees with with stoppies).

I loved that bike, but it's not the best stunter. I seized a piston after 36,000 hard miles, and sold the bike for $2,500 (with a bad motor!). It had thunderstorm heads/pistons with some porting/polishing, custom cams, Forcewinder intake, custom carb set-up, race ignition, etc... Made 92hp and 85lbf. TONS of torque + short wheelbase = easy wheelies!

Here's a pic of me on that old bike doing a stoppie, and then rippin' up the corners at Deal's Gap...the ULTIMATE place to rip through some of the best twisties in the world on a Buell.
