Bar setups for stunting?

I wanna see how many peeps, who are running a big bar setup, are stunting thier bikes with BMX style bars or MX style bars.

Vote!

Re: Bar setups for stunting?

Yea some people are good with them. I'm just too big of a guy. Even when I stomped them straight Just didnt fit.

I myself am currently running the Fast50's BMX style bars. Looking to upgrade all my controls and curious what the majority of people liked. I'd like to try out a bike setup with the really low MX style bars that are setup in a big bar setup though. with the taller clamp and everything. Seems like most people I know are using BMX style so I can't just hop on someone elses bike and try it out.

Re: Bar setups for stunting?

Yea just like that.. that clamp is really really tall tho haha but yea thats the kind of setup im talkin about. I wonder if they would be good or bad for street stunting??

Anyone use anything like this on the streets?? Does it work well?

Re: Bar setups for stunting?

Adam, yea been thinking about it. Just weighing my options is all right now. I wanna change up some parts and im just trying to figure out what I like..I wanna rock your bike with the 50 stunt setup one of these days see if I like it or not.

Either way I go looks like for a new setup im gonna drop about $250 so I just want to make sure I'm gonna be happy with what I choose. I just have never gotten to ride a bike with the low bars like that and wonder how well the setup works for stuntin. I'm sure the dirt guys all rock that setup but by the results of the poll so far seems like most stunt with the BMX style.

Re: Bar setups for stunting?

Only thing holdin me back on the 50stunt is how often I switch out the rear wheel for the dirt one. I really like riding the trails and stuff and I want to learn to do jumps and **** and I'm afraid since his bar is for street only I might t-bone them suckers pretty quick..

Re: Bar setups for stunting?

Yo Fuscat,

I am coming out with a new bar in the next week, It is going to be 7/8 diameter with .120 wall and a crossbar. We will have the complete kit. This bar setup will be super tough.

The current stunt bar is also tough, I ride dirt and street with mine and beat on the stuff to make sure it will hold up. Brennan dropped his bike directly on the bars while busting a back flip with no damage. I make my stuff to last and take abuse. All the tubing is twice as thick as the other stuff on the market. It cost more to make and wieghs a few ounces more than some bars, but wont bend on you when you dump the bike. Check out the new bar!

Re: Bar setups for stunting?

Damn! That changes my thoughts on the bar then. I originally really dug the idea of no cross bar. I think it would make it easier for my fat *** to get my legs over and manuver around better. damn hahah decisions, descisions...

you gonna be on the flashchat later tonight Ryan? I had a couple other questions for you also..
