Hey Hurricane. I had made one almost exactly like yours. The problem with (your design and the one I made)that I see and ran into is that the flexible part of the cable moves with the swingarm causing more slack. I am guessing that your handbrake works alright while you are just riding. This makes you have to squeeze more the higher you wheelie goes becuase the cable is gaining slack the closer the swingarm is to the frame. Then your fingers will get in the way. I finally gave up on designing and welding my own and bought the 50stunt one.
WEll worth the money and it easily locks up the back tire and can pull me down from scraing the bar!!!!

Good luck but hey it may work good enough to help you. I didn't want to look like I had handbrake and wasn't able to depend on it enough if needed.

 

I used an old bmx brake lever perch to hold the cable on the swingarm.

It works pretty well, I think I might cut the bracket down a little which will change the angle that the cable points, and make a bracket for the cable stop.

I'm guessing it should lock it up then, it almost does now.

 

I got spreader circles on lock with no hand brake haven't tried highchair circles yet but will try when the snow melts. and seat standers, I think look funny on a small bike. so If I could do all that with no handbrake, wouldnt I be ahead of the game

pegs arent cheating either, they dont make tricks easier, they allow you to do more tricks that you couldnt do without em. maybe you got tiny girl feet that can fit on the swingarm?
