What are my fork options?

OK, so my forks are gettin pretty messed up with the stoppies and jumping (actually it's just the silver part of the fork that slides into the tube). What are my options? I know I can spend $700+ on a new fork assembly, but do they take stoppies well, or are they just good for motocross? Is it worth it to just get new stock parts and keep replacing them? What have you guys done, since I know this is nothing new. Shugga, can you throw me some prices on stuff? Thanks

p.s. I already have the heavy duty springs in the forks, so that isn't a solution.

Ethan

Question Five-0

Five-0 makes heavy-duty chromoly fork lowers if you want to stick with the stock forks. 1-in longer than stock, and come with a longer front brake cable. Sell for about $150 retail Make sure you change out those white plastic bushings too, have a feelin thats where most of the slop is coming from anyway and stiffer fork springs only magnifies the problem.

www.fiveoracing.com but dude thats not gna help. the problem is from the stress on the forks a bishing inside goes bad, i heard itis only ten dollars to replace. I would say go with the fast50s unit becuase they seam higher quality. although yu might wat to watch out for fork seals leaking. I am getting a front end P.D.Q and have been shopping around. I liek the prc front end nd also the fast50s unit. It is a toss up between the 2

Thumbs down Springs?

Don't know what ya'll R into, but can't stand the stiffer fork springs myself. Make the bike handle like a pogo stick, and they force the fork lowers out so far that tha flex is terrible. Listen to your physics teacher kids. All that **** about levers and fulcrums applies here.

im with birddogg on this. Nasty with SBF doesnt have the stiffer springs and his **** hasnt taken a bad beat'n. he can stoppie for days, all day long and bike is still good. the bushings take the beating real bad with forks extended out so far. let me try and apply an example here: when shoveling, yes you all know how to dig, you hold the top of the handle with one hand and the other towards the bottom when lifting dirt out of hole. this gives you leverage. i know you all know that but try and hold the handle at the top with both hands and lift dirt. your forks are always at the end of the handle and have the tendency to flex easily with very little support and rigidity. i hope that this help and that i didnt sound like too much of an idiot.

How much do you all weight that don't like the stiffer springs? I'm 150, and just put them on Sat. and they seem to be pretty good for me, no pogo-effect, easier wheelies and finally some suspension. Oh well :twelve
