white smoke

so ya tonight my 50 started shooting out white smoke here and there ...

whats wrong what do i need to fix ?
ya ya ill change my oil tomorrow havent done that in a while but a buddy said it might be rings

gonna have to take the head off, shouldnt be to hard to install, get a gasket kit while your at it

My friends 80 did that and it was runnin real lean, and the jetting was completley off. Try messing around with that, and you'll need some new rings too.

if they are at sea level there air filter is clean and oil is clean then the rings need to be replaced

oil smokes a bluish/black. did you mix somethin wit the gas? whats your plug look like?

i told my friend to change my oil ... he said there was like less than 1/2 a quart in there .... where it all went

im going to change my plug and clean and oil the air filter this week too

so how hard is it to replace piston rings and what all do i need ...

gasket set, basic tools. about an hour. if youve never had one apart before, maybe 2 hours. shouldnt be too big a deal

im running bone stock jetting .. i think up a notch on the needle with k&n filter

White smoke could mean it was overfilled or in a wierd position for a long time like a wheelie and some excess needs to bew burned off, however most likely its the rings and big bore time.

LMFAO I know where the oil went........its somewhere between Plano and White Rock Lake....hahhahahahahaha around 50 miles of it from Saturday!!!!! HAHAHAHAHHAHA
