Man, the weather...

It was like 10 degrees out today, but with the windchill it felt like -4. I had to put on about 5 layers of shirts and 2 layers of pants + wool socks + snowhat + helmet + googles + 2 gloes just to stay warm.

But ridin today was so freakin fun..

Do you guys like to ride in the snow? Its prolly my fav. time to ride in.

Re: Man, the weather...

Goddamn son. I was ridin my Z400 around in a sweatshirt and jeans and i got about a mile out and just froze up. Took me a good half hour to get home in first gear. After I got warmer clothes on I was rippin around on the swamp and i ate ****. Hit a grass patch stickin out of the ice and flew off the quad and my fist went thru the ice.

Oh and weather.com is saying it's 14* and it feels like -1* F. My fiddy will barley start in this weather. It sucks...

Re: Man, the weather...

My 50 has a full throttle bog for a while in this weather. Does it make sense to run something lighter than 10w40?

Re: Man, the weather...

Yo me and f1fty ride in some bad weather. Last winter we were out in 3ft of snow with temps below zero. Thunderstorms? Bah they're nothin. 60mph winds with gusts past 80? Adds to the challenge! I also rode around in 100+ degree weather over the summer. Riding on flooded streets is cool too, until you drown the thing out.

Re: Man, the weather...

Ripped the parking garage last night so there was no wind chill, so it was probably about 5 degrees - I love when the snot freezes as it runs out of your nose.
Big snow storm starts tonight 10 inches of white stuff.
