Re: Zongshen 110 motor

I have one in my monkey. Its pretty fast, with the clutch its easy to clutch it up in 4th at 40 +mph

Im not sure how it would be in a XR for slower speed stuff or any dirt riding, but it works great in a z50/monkey street bike.

Re: Zongshen 110 motor

I've got a lifan 72cc maunal 4 speed and it's a decent engine, except the stator went out like on fab's friends bikes, oh and the flywheel and clutch nut both vibrated loose. For the exhaust, i had the same problem with it not going all the way into the head and sealing. It's kinda hard to explain, but look at the exhaust and you can see there is a gap between the head and the pipe, just rig up a spacer. To fix it, i cut a piece of coat hanger to about 4in long and wrapped it around the exhaust and trimmed it up and made it a good circle shape and used that as a spacer to push the exhaust all the way into the head.

you have got to be the king of all Trailer Park Rigs. you come up with some silly *** ****. the reason there is a gap in there is because you are supposed to put a GASKET in there. amazing isnt it? instead of wasting a half hour rigging up some coat hanger bullshit, try pulling the old gasket out of the fiddy motor in there. it works wonders.

Re: Zongshen 110 motor

There was a gasket on the fiddy motor? Oh well, i feel kinda dumb now. My honda motor is gone, but my rigged up coat hanger seems to be holding up pretty good.
