Wear your fuc*ing helmets.

I wasn't last night and am paying the price. I was coming around a corner trying to build up speed to roll a stoppie when I hit my stunt peg on the tar. It levered my rear tire off the ground and it then began to hurt. The bike lowsided, I highsided and slammed the back of my melon onto the tar. Both arms from the shoulder down went numb for a couple of minutes. My jaw has basically locked up. Right after it happened I had some peripheral vision problems but that has cleared up.

My doctor cleared me earlier today. If I have a concussion it is minor. I am starting to feel sick now so I might have to go back in tonight to get looked at.

I usually wear at least a skate helmet but wasn't last night. It was to cold so I used the excuse that I needed to wear a stocking hat instead. IF I get back onto this little man-eating minibike I won't be without a helmet ever again. I have been hurt way to much on it in the last year and a half. Time to step back and think if it is good for my health.

I am going to rip it apart and have it all powdercoated and then decide.

WEAR A HELMET!!!!

Re: Wear your fuc*ing helmets.

I forgot. Two weekends ago I screwed up a jump and flipped the bike on top of me. The footpeg(not stuntpeg) speared my helmet. If I wasn't wearing one then I don't even want to think about the damage to my head.

Before anyone says it, I realize that I just might suck at stunting.

I'd hold off on that for a bit...

Makes me think I should grab a helmet...I'm not stunting well yet (can barely wheelie) but it's probably a good idea considering I have the coordination of a 2 year old

Re: Wear your fuc*ing helmets.

A couple months ago about 10 of us were parking lot racing at a school. A guy 10 ft in front of me did the same thing. He only lucked out w/ road rash on his entire forearm. Sounds like someone should invent a removeable peg????

Re: Wear your fuc*ing helmets.

I always wear my street bike helmet; it especially rocks when it's cold or raining because it's warm with the vents closed and the visor down.

Re: Wear your fuc*ing helmets.

Well, after a long weekend with no drinking my head seems to be ok. Just got my spare set of fork legs back from my bro. He straightened them for me. :YEAH

My elbow now seems to be the problem child left over from the crash. Got a piece of something floating around in it. Sharp and it hurts like hell when I bump it.

Everytime I walk by the in the garage it laughs at me a little bit. Fu*ker.

Helmets only from now and on.

that sounds pretty weak cableguy I've hit my head harder than that. That is what makes riding 50s so much fun.

Yer a chump. If you have hit your nugget harder than that..... wait, that explains a few things about you.

I aim to please. I am happy the sparks from the bike sliding down the parking lot were very pretty. You should have seen the sparks in my head when I hit the ground. I hit so hard all my hair fell out. :YEAH

Re: Wear your fuc*ing helmets.

I guess there is pressue to not wear one, but I've decided I don't wanna be around to witness a crash without one on. My noodle is too precious and I'm too old for all that craziness.

I picked up a Fulmer dirtbike helmet on sale for $50.00. It's DOT & SNELL approved, inexpensive, and covers my face. Gotta protect the chicklets!
