Okay here is the play by play.. new sproket 1st gear clutch up.. scrape back.. wobble.. eat ****.. bike came up wicked fast.. and went to far to fast.. **** happens.. Bike and I are fine.. need a new fairing stay and front rim to start with the other is just cosmetic.. I have a few bruises.. but if I did not have a crunchy looking bike I would think that I just slept wrong.. nothing bad at all.. The frame sliders took the brunt of it on the sides.. none of my plastics came out bad except my upper.. could have been a lot worse.. really not even worth worrying about.. Only about 500 in parts and repairs. Bike is running fine.. and just need to get the rim to get it back riding again. I figure 1week to a month depending on ordering parts I will be back out there again.. I just want to thank everyone who was out there.. You all are some good people.. Paul and Sha really came through to help out while I went to get my truck. Robin thanks for sticking around for the conversation. and to everyone else.. good looking out. well i worked all day sunday 12 hours, but money is more important than riding, my cage is all ****ed up right now anyways! hopefully i can take it out to joes and weld up this crack in it and get it back on the bike lol! maybe ill make it out to sunday school next week if my bike is up on the road by then!

 

yeah had my gear on.. rip in the pants and shoulder of the jacket.. couple of scrapes on the back padding.. and few rips in the gloves... not bad at all.. Yea the gear def. saved me some pain.. could have been a lot worse... I know what asphault feels like when coming out of the palms of your hands.. so with that in mind.. I am not going to complain at all about a few bruises..

 

It's wonderful to hear that you had on all of your gear. You are right, there just isn't anything quite like pulling asphalt out of your palms.

 

yeah but makes you work that much harder not to crash to bad i was doing foot in bar 12 sat and about flipped over the bars but my *** did everything i could to save it dragged on the side of my bike and everything but didnt drop the bike and jumped back up on the bike lol

 

Noone wants to crash, but people do. Everyone will go down, it's how we prepare that makes the difference.

Is there really a reason to NOT be protected?

 

well all i wear now is a helmet and gloves, but thats just me, there really is no reason for me to wear a jacket anymore unless im riding on the street
