Any Takers?
Any Takers?
Alright Trik Chik already said it's gonna be hard for me to find somebody.. But I'd really like to learn and start doing double up stunting.... I rarely get to ride and... well obviously never do any stunts... I've done a wheelie with my friend chris and some stoppies.. nothin really major.. I just really love the rush from it all. Everyone tells me to do it on my own.. But honestly I feel more comfortable with somebody else controlling the bike.. Especially since I always ride bitch and will never of rode a bike on my own till I can finally take the MSF course....Guys are just better at being able to control their emotions when they ride from what I've seen... I would just like to ride with somebody a few times and see if i feel comfortable and then if they're up for double up then start off small.... Anybody wants to give it a shot lemme know... it's not a dire emergency just something i'd really like to do..... See you all at the track sunday

I think most people that are doing stunts and would even consider having you as a passenger for stunts would agree with one thing....you are still a minor.
As much as you may want to be on the back of a bike and as much as your parents may not care that you are on the back of a bike...when push comes to shove...IF something god-forbid ever did happen to you while doing stunts with another person, that individual is responsible for what happens to you.
Yes, this is still that case if you are 18, 20, 24 whatever, but being 17, if you are hurt, your parents can sue the **** out of the individual that you were with.
Sure may just realize that it was an accident and it's not anyone's fault, but in today's society that is rarely the case. Compensation is the name of the game, and people want it!
I will never put myself in that kind of situation since the injury of a passenger could put me in legal and finacial trouble for life. It just isn't worth it to me, and I think many would agree.
Just my $0.02

OK... Im not here to be rude or bash you or anything like that.. So dont take it that way.. But doing two ups takes a lot of practice and time.. dont just hop on any bike and think that the person knows what they are doing..It takes an extremely skilled stunter to master two up stunting.. I know people have told you before that it just not all about sitting on the back (or front) of a bike and doing stunts. But there is balancing and getting to know how each other reacts to different stunts.. Because I remember, Laura yelling at me because I move half an inch wrong that almost set the bike off.. There was another girl that I know (not mentioning any names) who wanted to do 2 ups just like you.. Well she found a person to do them.. (And he is a good stunter).. It only took a matter of weeks before they endoed over and she got hurt.. All she talked about was that she trusted him and blah blah blah.. So just chill out.. Get to know how to ride first and take it one step at a time..I dont think you really know what is all involved in 2 ups. But you do what you want.. Im just giving you my opinion.. Then agian what do I know!!

But seriously though, RedlineCarms makes a good point. I know the person she is talking about. She was soooooo excited to start doing 2 up stuff, the problem is I think she didn't spend time to learn the rider first. She might have thought, well hey I just jump on and hold on. Well its not that easy. I myself have done 2 ups as well with RedlineCarms partner...Let me tell you this, that is the ONLY person I would trust doing 2 ups. I didn't hesitate once with her because I saw her skill level with Carmen.
Even though she wont admit it, Carms knows my mindsweepers are bettaaah than hers..
Becareful out there. I have seen way to many people try 2 up stuff and things just go wrong.
But then again, what the hell do I know...:p
Yes I know all this... And I'm willing to take the time and to get used to the rider and everything before even thinkin about 2 up.. that's all I'm lookin for is somebody who is interested and ride with each other a lil while then see how comfortable we feel together and start off with somethin very small... And I've got the time to practice if they do... I've been involved in sports and other things my whole life and to me nothin is more important than practicing... I am just lookin for someone who is willin to take the time to ride with each other awhile till we feel comfortable with each other.. not doin any stunts what so ever and then see where we can go from there.. You guys understand what I'm sayin now? And Carms I do appreciate all of your advice... you of all people is the only person I would really listen to.. I've seen you stunt alot and you got "*****" girl.. and I give ya mad props on it... But you guys fail to realize is that I didn't just hop on a bike this year.. I have been riding prolly close to 2 or 3 years as a passenger... I have just never done it solo.. Which will hopefully come in the next 6 months
Deja'Vu' Didn't we go through a very similar convo with the person who did go down in a 2upper????!!!!!!
Look! The last thing anyone of us want for you is to get hurt, or for that matter anyone of our friends be held responsible for it.....
If I came home with the bruises I had form stunting,or the broken thumb on Carms,or other injurys occured by some, at your age my ma would have slapped me silly
.....
These 2 up stunts take alot of trust between the 2 people involved one wrong move by either could mean the difference between life or death, the minute you forget that is the minute you **** up!!!!! I too have been yelled at for a wrong move or 2 in the process of learning, but the moral of the story is if you can't trust the rider with your life......don't get on the bike.......!!!!This rule stands for riding and or stunting:helmet
Be safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is an example of a 2 up gone really bad next second after photo was taken, these riders went down....HARD.....

Everyone that has started out doing double stunts takes a chance!! If you want to and think you will enjoy it.... DO IT! Yes it is dangerous...... But most things in life are!!! You probably will hit the ground..... so the only thing I suggest is GEAR!! Wear the proper ****, to lower your chances for serious injury!! Also, don't just stunt with the first available.... make sure you are on the bike with someone that has been stunting for a while, and never ever ride with them until they can do the stunt exact, and everytime they try.
GOOD LUCK.....
GOOD LUCK.....

I "try" some lame wheelies every once in a while but nothing decent.
