The Florida BullShit Thread
Re: The Florida BullShit Thread
my piece of **** 636 cant hold a charge to save its life.
it seems like it looses its charge when its hot??? If it get hot it will just die. and i cant even push start it. let it cool down for a little bit, and it wont start, but i can push start it and it will ride fine.. anybody got any ideas?

Re: The Florida BullShit Thread
stator and rectifier have been swapped..
i was trying to avoid all this lol.. but i think im gonna have to do this.. thanks
i got a different 03/04 rectifier on there now...last time u saw it i just swapped out to the 05 stator. it all bolts up fine.. u really think that could make a difference??
fu buddy..
yo hec i had a problem b4 with an r1 but after it got hot its wouldnt crank, u can hear a click! my problem was a tight timing chain but i would start small first. check the resistance at the stator with a volt meter! if u get between .5 ohms and 1.0 ohms ur good. than its most likely the rectifier. and if u run the bike and check the voltage coming out of the rectifier but still connected to the stator and u get 12.5 to 13 volts b4 it goes the the battery than the stator and rec is good and the connection between the wire harness and the battery is bad! capeesh?

fu buddy..

Get it running Hector put a volt meter at the battery and let me know what the volts are saying while it's idleing and what they are when you give it gas. I have another ecu but I don't think that is your problem.

what he said.
