Stunt bike story

Hey

I'm a reporter for a local newspaper, and I'm looking to do an atricle on stunters. Looking at past clips, I can see your brand of motorcycle riding has not been placed in the best of light. I'm hoping to do more of an insider article--I've done this in the past writng stories about prostitutes and bicycle pimps here in Daytona Beach. I'm really interested in getting to know some of the stunt riders, and learning what is the draw to this style of riding. IF you'd be willing to talk to me, please let me know.

its weird cause i never receive any pms from anyone and i get that one... i was like WTF..... and hes in daytona..... i think we should get together as a group and be bicycle pimps..... and have our hoes hanging around us on 1974 schwinns all blinged out..... and then stunt our bicycles...... and he can write about that....

 

but at the same time you never know. this dude could be legit and it you do get in contact with him it could have a positivie impact on what we do. you don't have to tell him anything to incriminate yourself or make the sport look bad but its worth a shot. **** if you aint gonna talk to him have him pm me i'll do it.

 

The guy just joined on the 17th, has no posts on the board to introduce himself... and my thinking is, if someone wanted to get involved in the stunt world to do some articles, they would have either posted on the boards or heard by word of mouth where the stunt spots were in Daytona and shown up to get some info...

also, why in the world would this guy want to write about Stunt Riding if he's writing about prostitutes and bicycle pimps ? Sounds to me he's not from any specific magazine or newspaper... Has stunt riding been associated with the two?
Maybe he's trying to get started with a good story somewhere... who knows... just becareful PM me if you need his email addy ..

he says that we havent been placed in the best light, then goes on about how he will be different because he did stories on prostitutes!?

 

you cant trust no pone just remember that

 

ya i pmed him again... i say we get together if this goes down and give someone a REAL story about stuntriding... instead of a squid from somewhere in orlando riding super whoolies down I4...

 

you can also find out where he is claiming to be a writer ... browse around on real magazines and contact thier editor... USUALLY editors and writers DONT find you ...

Thanks for responding to my email. What would really help me is if we could talk by phone some time soon...It's difficult to talk by email because I often think of questions to ask a person as I interview them. The questions would be about your experience as a rider such as how you got into the sport? What was the first stunt you performed? Why have sport bikes become more popular with younger people than Harleys? Stuff like that. I am kind of new to the motorcycle world, but I am spending a lot of time on websites related to stunt riding to try to get a good understanding of the sport. I am hoping you can steer me toward some of the issues related to the sport and where you see it going. Again, any help with this story is greatly appreciated because I know I am taking roads not usually covered by the paper. Please let me know if you would be willing to do this, and when you're are available. I am at the office most nights Tuesday through Saturday.
