my girl likes to surf and i figured since she is going down with me to SW07 for bike **** the least i can do is take her to surf while we are down there

im thinking about getting her a board for xmas and shippin it to the condo well be staying at after SW07 for a little vacation and totally suprizing her

so if there is anywhere around where SW07 is gona be or sarasota please let me know

east coast usualy has bigger surf the gulf looks like a giant lake most of the time

new smyrna beach, sebastian inlet, or coco beach all kinda local spots if shes good those are the places to kick it

 

Ponce inlet

 

Ponce inlet Jax beach and Cocoa are all decent
Sebastion rocks but its farther out of your way, plus the local are vicous

If you go to Ponce or New Smyrna stay a few hundred yards off the jedis/inlet if its crowded and you're not familiar with the place, locals will be all over you otherwise

I used to surf Sabastian and New Smyrna when I was a teen. The jetties are definatly for the more advanced (for FLA) but there are spots in Smyrna that are a little less crowed, same in Cocoa.

 

go south of ron johns to patrick airforce base. if the waves are good behind ron johns they r 10 times better at patrick. just drive south on a1a untill you see the base on the right. there is a little parking lot on the left.
