Getting new bike Saturday

Watch out everyone.... another newb on a big bad bike. I will be picking up my new bike Saturday. I can't wait. It really isn't a stunt bike, as I have a lot to re-learn before I even think about getting into stuntin. Look forward to Sunday School rides, and I'm game for Tuesday nights also.... (my wife has class that night, so i'm a free bird.)

BTW, I need a hook-up on a jacket and gloves. Anyone here have contacts at any stores locally?

Okay so what are you getting the zx-11?? there are a few good places, but where my wife and I got all of out gear was at CPS Racing. They are located on Lake Worth Road and Jog.. Prices were good and they even come down some off advertised price.. Best price I could find at the time.. and they were really helpful..

R6, Definately will catch up with you. I should be ready to ride about the same time as you.

Kris, it is a pretty old bike, but it is in REALLY good condition. I would of like to get a newer bike, but for the money I paid for this bike, I couldn't pass it up. It is from a friend, and he really kept it up. Lots of new stuff on there.

Re: Getting new bike Saturday

giger, thanks, hopefully you can check it out soon.

Kris, I'm not tootin my horn, but this bike is VERY clean. That is the main reason that I am buying it... 3 days and counting.... Also, do you think that the newer 600's are really as fast as that ZX-11, or were you just playin?

giger, you also have a pretty sweet 'elder' ride. I like the old'er' Gixxers. Does yours have the twin headlight?

i was being sarcastic although a 636 with a tiny bit of work would rip you in the quarter and prob roll with you on the high end

Re: Getting new bike Saturday

I was hoping you were joking. I have rode these bikes before, but never a newer 600. I have nothing to compare them to. I didn't think they were that fast. This bike is 100% original stock. I am already planning some exhaust, and some minor carb work.

Re: Getting new bike Saturday

I got it for cheap, we'll talk about that after you see her. You pull the choke, hit the starter, and this baby fires to life. I prefer carbs, as I am a tuner, and like to play around with things like that.

Def will have to hook up. I am game to ride ANYTIME. I am definately getting it Saturday, I talked to the guy an hour ago, and confirmed it. By the time you get your bike, I will be up to speed. We will definately have to come out for Sunday School.

Talk later

Re: Getting new bike Saturday

I love those twin headlight Gixxers.... It has about 130hp, and I'm not sure on the torque, but somewhere around 95 or so, I would think.
