Where did you all ride at?

FIX IT THEN! Order the fairing stay from 905, Brake Res. Dealer or eBay, I would leave the bent shifter (it's not that bad when you bent it back) and eBay a used rim.. 1 week.. 2 tops.. The clock is ticking! Get a move on!

 

Screw The Stay.. I Don't Need Fairings To Ride.. I Need A New Rim And Front Break Reservior.. That Is It.. Then I Am Back.. I Am Thinking About Just Taking All My Plastics Off.. I Am Also Putting A Cage On Before I Bring It Up Again.. I Got Lucky That Only The Front Plastic Was ****ed.. But I Am Not Going To Chance Loosing The Others... Streetfighter Baby... Also I Think I Have A Guy In Ft. Laudy That Says He Can Repair The Rim For Much Less Then Buying A Used Or New One.. Just Have To See How Long It Will Take..

What is the stay holding.. All it looked like was the gauges, lights and front fairing.. if that is the case.. I don't need any of that to ride.. just asking.. never had to deal with this before.. maybee there is something I don't know about

 

I was just lookig at the 905 stay.. it does not look like it replaces the stock stay.. maybee bolts on to it.. I did not see a place on the 905 to mount the mirrors, gauges, fairings.. etc... Does anyone know anything about this?

 

nevermind just talked to the guy at 905 and he says it serves the exact same purpose as the stock one.. just stronger.. He is going to get back to me on availability and price

 

how is the guy going to "fix" the rim? weld it? I don't know if I would trust it especially doing stunts with it.... sometimes you gotta bite the $ bullet for safety...

 

I agree with NayNay on this one...I'd grab an eBay special or some other used front rim.

Yeah actually just read this post.. but decided last night that the front wheel is not something that I want to mess with .. I found a guy wtih a bunch of R6 parts that I am working out a deal with including the rim.. Thanks for all the worries and advice..

Oh yeah and a trip down our way once in a while wouldn't be that bad either... That way when a newb like me busts my *** I don't have so far to walk...

well I have a real good spot for day time.. but no lights for night.. but it does not have to be Boca.. There are good places in Boynton and Delray.. but they are all out west.. once I get the bike back up I will scout out a few..
