Its started, StuntWars is in 4 weeks and Bike Week is in 7... Who's goin? Anyone heading up to either from the West Palm Area? And if so, and youre riding, let me know. I may need some people to criuse up with, and love to meet some new people while Im there.

 

I'm not sure which day(s) I'm going up. My brother is racing down in Homestead the same weekend and I would like to see him on one of the days (he's already excused me, told me I didn't have to go, but you know how that goes). I guess it'll be a last minute thing. I was originally planning on going Sunday (I might just stick to that), drive up early (7am). If anyone wants to meet somewhere, we can plan on doing that. I'll be driving though, I think some of my friends (non-riders) wanted to go too.

 

I am def. going, but I am not sure if I am riding or not.. Weather down here is to unpredictable and I have heard a lot of people worry about theft there. I am going both days.

 

Theft is people need to buy their own ****. And as far as weather goes I'll have to keep an eye out. As you know R6 I dont have a car so Im kinda stuck riding or not going.

 

Well if I do end up taking the truck, you are welcome to ride along, besides The 2.5 hour drive goes by a lot more comfortable watching DVD's the whole way.. I would like to ride but not sure if it is the smartest move yet. That is the weekend of my birthday so I am def. going. We are most likely getting a room Laquinta. Prob going to drive up either Fri. night or Sat morning and head back Sunday night or Monday morning.

 

RideHard, if there is enough room in my car, you're more than welcome to come with me. I think I am only going to head over for the day though.

Honestly, I wouldn't ride. Last year was freezing *** cold up there! I know some guys who rode from Stuart and they wished they wouldn't have ridden. Then to top off them freezing their asses off, one of them got their bikes stolen from the track premises.................did I mention they are all cops too!!! It sucked!!

Well just let me know what you decide, I am now considering only going up one day myself.. Or maybe riding up Sat anytime.. and then coming back Sunday night. hey Ride Hard, thought you were going back to BFC last night, but when I looked back you had turned off.. what happened?

 

I plan to be at both events....there's no way I'm riding to stuntwars. My bike would be the first to get stolen.

I know it's sketchy because few people on here know me but I have a two car garage that a few people are more then welcome to park their bikes in. I live about 15 minutes from the track. Just an idea.

 

I think most people are going to stay at Hooters and La Quinta. Hooters is all booked up. I am going to ride up on Saturday and stay at laquinta Sat night, go to the show on Sunday and head back Sunday night. The only thing is that some people on here said they got like 80 something dollars a night at La Quinta and they just quoted me 114.. anyways.. that is my plan. Larry thanks for the offer.. that is a nice gesture If I do ride up that may be an option..

 

I think I read on another post that the person mentioned they were going to Stuntwars and that is when they dropped the price to $80 something. Did you mention Stuntwars?!

 

No problem. I can always just move the cars into the driveway. Of course I would have to clear it with the old lady first. :

 

Yeah I asked them what the rates were for the weekend of Stunt Wars.. they said what? I said stunt wars at the drag strip.. They said what dates... I said 12th and 13th.. they say hold on.. sorry there is nothing in our computer under that name and those dates.. I say what about stunt fest... nope... so anyways.. I say what are your rates for that weekend.. 130.00...WHAT...okay let me call you back.. I call back like an hour later.. and a different person quotes me 114.00.. Anyways.. I will get what I get I am def. staying at La Quinta. I heard on another post that they only had llike one block of rooms that were 80.00 so I will just pay what it comes out to.. I will be booking today for shure.
