Lastly, at the premiere for PhaseONE, there were tons of people, watching the vid, drinking, having a good time. And the guys sold out of everything they brought.

At your premiere, there were 100 people, and people were falling asleep at their tables while WATCHING YOUR VIDEO. Oh, but u did sell some dvds, all to RPM.

So, think about what u say next time.
OK you little bit(h. i am thinking about what I'm gonna say, yup, I am done, here it goes.

Re: Here it IS ---

Geez Rodg, I think you need to relax abit mate. I've said it before, and here it goes again.................two types of rider in the stunt world, those that ride on the road, in the carpark, where ever, and ride for the fun of riding. Those that want to be, or are pro's and treat it as a pure sport, competition and the for recognition of their skills. Oh ****, maybe a third group, those that cross between the first two.

Point being, there are different things that people want from stunting. Some people don't want it to be a sanitised, safe environment, competition orientated "sport", some don't want riders ripping up the street. Some like the fun of a bike orientated lifestyle, and want to see it on a vid, some just want pure stunting, bikes only. You choose, but both different groups will always exist and maybe in the future it'll cause a major split in stunting. Who knows, but, at the end of the day, entertainment vs just riding, you choose, I know what I what I like.

I just watched your vid again Rodg, man, I'd love to have an once of your skills. Your riding is sick! Video wise, give me Meacham's vid anyday, his clip is fun, interesting, and you don't know what's up next, and he can hold a camera reasonably straight (big bonus that one).

One of the biggest things I think lets down the guys that want to ride for sport is the lack of gear. If you're a sportsman, and serious about it, want to set an example (a sportsperson is a role model as well), put a lid on, wear the gear, that reflects, to me, someone that's thinking about more than just themselves, and taking their craft seriously. Imagine, Rossi going out in a T-shirt and cap!!

Anyways, my .

Re: Here it IS ---

this is the question my statements boil down to.

would you like to see stunting become a sport where a rider could make a living off of it? complete w/ o.e.m. sponsors, tours, and exhibitions at major motorsports events. just like you have w/ every other extreme sport, between dirt bikes, bicycles, skateboards, skiing, snowboarding, rolleblading, etc.

or

a few movies made by some schmuck(s) that knows he/she has no chance of progressing the sport, that depict illegal and dangerous riding, that not only endanger the rider but also the general public. the producer will make a few bucks, and be gone. leaving behind yet another vid that makes our sport look like ****. eventually vids and behavior like this are going to make lawmakers outlaw the bikes we love to ride, making them available strictly for competition use. in which case the select few riders that focus on talent instead of gimmicks, should still be able to ride. and maybe then we'll get the credit we deserve.

these vids may be entertaining at first, so was bum fights, but i look back at that in disgust. it's shock value and gimmick marketing.

Crashing is part of the game dawg. Didnt you start a thread title "Who's got crashing on lock" or something like that in stunt discussion.

Re: Here it IS ---

not to hate on meachem but phase 1 sucked as a video. for a first video it was decent but to act like it was a good video is wrong. there wasn't enough footage and there wasn't enough skilled people. meachem may not be the best stunter but he loves it and thats all that matters. hes going around and meeting people that are better than them and getting groups together and filming and HAVING FUN. that is where most if this is at is having fun. his next video is gonna be awsome cause he got much more footage skilled people and the know how.

anyways all this is bs about how his clip is no good and hes a joke

its a free *** clip. who cares if there are wrecks or **** or anything. i just think its cool that i get to spend 5 mins watching people stunt and have fun.

that guy on the 750 looks like a skinnier heratio sanz with that mustache

If your saying that crashing makes you a squid then i guess that would make us all squids, including yourself "Crashing on lockdown who gots it?"...oh wait you are crashing in your "controlled enviroment" so that makes you better. Also you wanna talk smack about videos that are featuring a bad representation of the sport and yet your crew was featured in BSS, which from your description of "unskilled riders" and squids were all in that video but you didn't hesitate to be in there, and at that your crew was featured in that video having a damn brawl in the parking lot, is that GOOD representation?? And on another note about the streets and so on can you rock anything outside the parking lot? can you hold a highchair or a spreader for a 1/4 mile? IMO you get on the track or even produce a video that only exhibits your " controlled enviroment" stunts and you will have nothing my man but a bunch of dissapointed, bored *** fans!!!!

Re: Here it IS ---

there is a huge difference between crashing in a controlled environment and crashing on public highway next to $40,000 vehicle, including the 2 year old child inside of it. crashing is entertaining, and if we can incorporate that into our otherwise controlled event, so be it.

if you can't see that your a fu(king moron and don't deserve to be on the street on a bicycle, much less a 150hp + sport bike.

anyone that's seen me ride knows i'm no joke. i ride. whether it's for fun, or self gratification, which to me is fun. either way, i get off on being better than you. sorry i'm confident enough to say that. but to me you have no right to take my oppritunity to make a living becuase your willing to do it for free because of your midlife crisis, or your oppritunity to make a quick buck.

sit the fu(k down and let the supreme reign nachos.

Re: Here it IS ---

aight BIG RODG. . . now I've seen a lot of teasers and that by far was the worst I've seen yet.
A. Your footage is horrible.
B. Your music blows. . did you even listen to that song before you tried mixin it with a stunt video.
C. The only other problem I have is that fact that your arguing something you can't win. Dont sit around and act like your doin this shlt for the right reasons when you fools don't even promote safety. You said that you wanted to see this become a career and ride for o.e.m. sponsers, tours and exhibitions. . tell me what company is gonna invest in somebody who thinks it's okay to NOT wear gear just because they are in an open lot behind some 18 wheelers. . go get ran over!

ok sir, so you must be the few, the proud, the elite representative trying to mold this into what your vision of this sport should be, great, leave everyone else out that doesn’t agree with your agenda because they simply don’t belong in your world, bwahahaahaha, yeah these same morons are the ones paying your elite *** money to come watch you, hmmmmm, I smell hypocrite…. You going to have a sermon at your show and explain to them how they are all fu(king morons sir? Right after you take there money sir….

Re: Here it IS ---

Well just to clear things up a bit phase one is no longer a crew just for everyones info. Meacham did in fact produce the phaseone video and did a good job with the filming and editing.. This was his first film he ever did and I think it was edited well and off course the tricks and talent was for sure old school stuff. Those involved in it were just people having fun we never set out to be pro's or even make a film for that matter.

now this is what i would have said, in reply to rodg's post, if i did not think he was a moron

everyone likes to say it aint about money, but if you want to do this **** full time, it is about money, and you got to do what you got to do, to make that money, you got to put a product out that people want, that people will buy.

for this sport to get as big as freestayle motorcross, it needs to get picked up by espn, the Xgames, or a network like fox.
when that happens, it will be huge. till that happens, it don't matter how many movies get made by gay paully, the starboys, or so called (squids), because not eneough people see these movies to effect a natiowide TV audience.
millions watch TV, as in ESPN, how many sportbike videos do you think total, have been bought, in this country? not a million

another reason this sport is slow geting off the ground.

alot of people like snowboarding, skiing, bycycles, skating, and **** like that, because it cost a few hundred dollars to get started in.

motorsross was slower, because it cost about 3 to 6 grand to get started

sportbikes are even slower, it cost about 10 G bills to get going in this sport
it is easier for people to relate to the other sports right now
