Making Money From Videos

YO; I'M SORRY THAT YOU DID NOT LIKE THE FILM YOU ARE ONE OF THE VERY FEW PEOPLE WHO FEEL THAT WAY. AS FAR AS "THE STONE BROS. MAKING MONEY" FROM THE VIDEOS GOES.........I BUSTED MY *** MAKING "12:00" AND ALMOST GOT KILLED MAKING IT. I BROKE MYTOE, FOOT, LEG AND HAND WHEN I GOT HIT FROM BEHIND BY A RIDER. I KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE THAT GUY LYING BROKEN ON THE GROUND. "12:00" HAD WAY TO MANY PARTNERS AND MONEY PEOPLE SO TO THIS DATE I'VE ONLY SEEN A FEW GRAND FROM IT. HOWEVER THE NEW FILM "URBAN STREET-BIKE WARRIORS' IS 100% A STONE BROTHERS FILM AND WE FULLY CONTROL IT. IT'S A FACT THAT IF A RIDER OR A CREW DOES NOT WANT TO BE IN ONE OF OUR FILMS THEN THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE. NO ONE RIDER OR CREW CAN REALLY AFFECT ONE OF OUR FILMS. IF THEY DON'T WANT TO BE IN IT THEN IT'S TOTALLY COOL. WHAT WE OFFER THE CREWS IS EXPOSURE AND PUT THEM OUT THERE WHERE THEY CAN BE SEEN BY THIER PEERS. WHAT THEY DO AFTER THAT IS UP TO THEM. SOME CREWS USE THE EXPOSURE FROM THE FILM AND BRING THEMSELVES UP TO THE NEXT LEVEL AND SOME CREWS DO NOTHING. DO YOU TTHING ANYONE WOULD KNOW WHO P.D.R., MIAMI WARRIORS OR RUTHLESS TACTICS IF IT WASN'T FOR OUR FILMS? WE MADE THESE CREWS ******* ROCK STARS AND THEY DESERVE IT THEY WORKED HARD FOR IT. I'VE PAID MY DUES MAKING THESE FILMS AND RISKED MY LIFE MANY TIMES AND ON OCCATION HAVE PAID THE PRICE. WE WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE GREAT FILMS TO ENTERTAIN PEOPLE KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR "12:00 #3 ???????????????" SHOOTING IN MID JAN.
ALL THE BEST

MONEY GRUBBING DEMON

THATS RIGHT JIMMY FIREBRAND? YOU'RE RIGHT I'M ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEY AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THE RIDERS. DO I KNOW YOU? ARE YOU EVEN ON OUR RADAR SCREEN? HAVE I EVER SEEN YOU AT ANY OF THESE EVENTS OR RIDING WITH THE FELLAS? DON'T ATTACK ME PERSONALY IT'S REALLY NO WHERE. YOU DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND HOW THIS THING WORKS THESE DAYS AND YOU'RE NOT A PLAYER IN IT AT EVEN THE SMALLEST LEVEL. DON'T BE A HATER..IT'S WEAK.

Being that everyone is sharing their opinions I’ll share mine. I personally liked both films. It has been pointed out that the teams should put out there own movies. If you look around the internet you will notice most of the teams have their own movies out or are working on them. But take into consideration that the average team will not have the experience or the knowledge that Drew has about production, editing, and film making. If you look at there site Drew has been doing this for a while, and not just this particular type of movie, he has the knowledge and the equipment that the average team doesn’t have to make a “Stunt” movie. I see their movies as more of a documentary style movie not a stunt movie. As for riding on the Street, if you watch the new movie the teams are riding all over New York and other areas with traffic, they are not having the streets closed for them.

If it wasnt for the first 12 oclock I wouldnt of started video editing. After seeing the Stone Bros take it to the next level in editing .. I had to learn myself ... Inspiration if you say. So thats cool with me .... It's not like Drew put a gun to the crews' heads and said do some wheelies or ima kill yah.... The crews gotta know the stone bros are going to make some money.. they gotta make a living like everyone else and in the process put out some dope *** stunt vids ...Keep it up DREW !

I remember hearing about this earlier in the year. I don't think the teams that rode in Urban Street Warriors care about whether or not they were paid or not, they just wanted to rep their ****, like Drew said. I know this because I've ridden w/ most of these guys and can say we are gonna ride anyhow, so it might as well be filmed AND USED regardless of pay, that will come soon enough. I liked both films and think USW is one of the top movies to date (probably cause it's one of the newest). And I also agree w/ GYNXxx about the editing thing, they make our riding art instead of just film. Drew, where are you filming in mid January? Stuntwars, if so the CC will see you there. If you're looking for any new teams/riders to feature head out here to the CHI there is plenty of skill for ya between CC and other Chi town locals.

well let me say this. your comments to DREW STONE are obsured. i met drew at chaunces house and he is mad cool(thanks for the aspirin drew) you need to keep your comments to yourself because at the looks of things nobody else agrees wit ya.
and yea he does make videos to make money. thats what producers do. i guess when he was making videos for bands like ONYX, and RUN DMC,and BIOHAZARD. he was just in it for the money right, RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. maybe he just knows and likes all of the people involved in this great sport as we know it and he's trying to make it grow with us. get your story straight. so now whether you like it or not the name drew stone will be forever known in the stuntworld as a great producer, not drew stone that guy who makes videos so he can make money
you need to wake up and smell the sensi, drew is the front runner of stunt video producers right now and probably will be for some time. so i guess you better stop watching his videos now cuz there only gonna get better.

All I can say is if somebody wanted to film me, and put me in a video at no cost to me other than my time (riding) I'd say go for it.

Maybe I think this way because I'm a nobody, and could only dream about being recognized, but I don't think so.

Keep rockin the films man.

Putting out videos

Talking about putting out a new video is one thing and actually putting the video out is another. the "CRASH" tape that the Stone Brothers we're hopeing to get out this winter has stalled out. It takes alot of crashes to make a crash film!!! As it turns out we've been focusing on getting URBAN STREET-BIKE WARRIORS out on DVD.

All the best

OK check this... thsi is how I see it.

Drew makes kick *** videos. PERIOD. He does a great job filming and editing. FACT. His videos 12 and 12 2 are two of teh best selling videos on the market. Why? Of course the riders... and the editing, filming, music, etc etc

Is Drew in it for the money? Hell yes! PARTIALLY. If he was ONLY about making money why in the world would he choose stunt riding? Because we are so huge and popular? HAHAHHAHA nope! He loves the sport and loves hanging out with the riders.

How many of you know who Gerald G is? Did you know who Bay Banshee was? The Go Hardd Boyz? Strong Island Fearless? How do you know them? CAUSE THE WERE IN 12 O'Clock!! Drew put em on the map!

PBR, I had heard of em...Of course cause Im heavily into the stunting world. But now EVERYONE knows! 12 2....
How many of you guys have seen the Miami Warriors ride? I hadnt. I saw em in 12 2. now when they come out with videos... will you buy em? Yeah i will! Would I have before? probably not.

Get the point? Drew is a good guy. I have spent alot of time with him on the phone and met him a bunch of times. Very cool guy. So before anyone starts baggi on him. Please get your facts straight.

Thanks!

I only want to comment for a few reasons...

one, i've seen your films Drew, and i have to say, i really enjoy the way you put them together...its nice to see higher quality editing and production skill put into this genre's videos

two, we know where you are coming from, as we are in the same position (WestCoast Filmworks) We specialize in filming, editing, and all the post production B.S. that goes into getting a video ready for market from sleeve art all the way down to music licensing. we're not a riding group, but would rather place ourselves as a vehicle for groups to get exposure and take their careers from there....its a tough spot to be in at times, and i hear you with all these sort of comments that get made about us taking the "easy part" and then collecting all the "cash".

keep up the good work, and i'm sure we'll be in contact this year on working together on some projects.
