Video?
yes and no. a "how to stunt" video would kinda be like a "how to do martial arts" video. you can only learn so much from watching it on a video.
then again, you can't go down to the local mall and take stunt lessons.. and since a lot of kids are learning how to do stuff from reading online (or worse yet from just screwing around with no one guiding them).. a video certainly isn't a bad idea.
our DVD, which should be out in the next few weeks, will feature a bonus section called "anatomy of a wheelie." i can't say that it's a "how to" to do a wheelie, because obviously there is a giant disclaimer saying not to attempt anything you see, etc. Working with a lawyer friend of mine to absolve us from any potential legal damage if some fool watches it and then loops his bike.. and so far i think it's possible to protect us, although who really knows. I really wanted to cover a bunch of the basic techniques and concepts, and get tight shots from a bunch of angles to show bounching the bike up, clutching it up, show up close how quickly you let the clutch out, how you feather the throttle, etc.
You're opening yourself up to potentially huge damages even having a "bonus" footage section that describes how a wheelie/stoppie/whatever is pulled off, let alone dedicating a whole DVD to it... that would be my biggest concern with dedicating a whole video to it.. is someone makes a halfway decent video covering a bunch of stunts, and then some idiot kills himself and his parents tie the video-maker up in court for a decade.
