Im just quoting the guy who said to learn to slow your wheelies down from 60 or 70 down to 40mph etc. Thats were im at right now and really can't do a whole lot other then balance point seat standers, sit downs, stand up's & 60+ mph nac nac's below balance point until i get my handlebrake on this week. I run a stock R6 24 psi 48 tooh sprocket and in 2nd gear on the highway or somthing only reason ill hit 70 is if i need to speed up to catch up with someone or so i dont get run over. . . or am cramping etc.
I haven't really even messed with 1st gear on my R6 and just now wanting to start messing with 1st gear on my friends stunt bikes using the rear brake more then throttle, I can't be sure how good ill do until I try it. There are guy's with stunt bikes that fly past me at 70-100mph while im cruising at 35-45mph in 2nd gear. Im sure some guys just learn in 1st & eventually do circles before they even mess with 2nd I really dunno id defenitly be safer that way. Basicly saying what that KC dude said but in other words I guess? lol?
Chasing from this point or little lower or higher to balance point & back tapping the rear brake maybe once or twice and course if your about to loop is when you will start slowing down. Its nothing that you try to do it just comes to you as you get comfortable with 2nd gear, its easier if your staggered. 2nd gear is less jerky & getting the feel of B point & using the rear brake comes easier its just obviously more dangerous since your going faster lol. That might be in the 10's, balance point on my bike is little lower then that, but while it seems like people are bashing or just giving real vague advice it really is just about just practicing & letting it come to you. Hope that helps man you've gone further then I have in 1st gear dude i haven't even tried a stand up in 1st yet bro

are you standing on both front pegs?

I don't get it, why start off with standups? I didn't do standups until I could pull off sitdowns ok. And considering how much you wobble back and forth standin up I'd say sitting down is a safer way to find bp. If you can do 2nd gear wheelies for ever you should have an idea of where the bp is/what it feels like? Also I havn't started clutching up my bike on slow standups (fib's actually since I don't have a handbrake but its the same idea) until recently since it's been geared enough to just pull a bit and power it up and still get to bp and slow down. Clutching it up makes the bike come up pretty fast when goin 1st gear slow which might make you uncomfortable if you're a beginner.
