I must admit you guys do have some of the best camera work I have seen yet. In my opinion, you dont need to have the nastiest tricks in your video (but it does help) to have a kickass video. You just need the right balance of footage, editing and overall quality. Keep up the good work!

Camera work rocks but like nagz said it's dizzy to watch.
The same technique is used on skateboarding and snowboarding movies but they use it as a intro or endo of a sequence. The rider is always on full screen while doing the trick.
Combine it more with the 'usuall' shots and it will be a editing masterpiece... maybe
I like it.

haven't watched it yet....damn .MOV files! Work PC's don't have quicktime. Plus their managed PC's. I guess I'll have to wait until I get home to watch it.

It sounds like some fish eye effects or wide wide angle shots...am i wrong?...lol

i saw the trailer a month or two ago.. i liked it a lot. the camerawork and color correction/effects; both added nicely to the overall package.

i won't ramble on about my thoughts on video stuff, but having the best overall PACKAGE is much more important than having the best tricks. if you're doing backflips while parking 12's but it's filmed on your mom's intel webcam and edited by your little brother, your video is still going to appeal to very few people. good job doing it right!

props on using the dust brothers too.. i remember hearing the music and thinking "FIGHT CLUB!"

and baker, iirc.. a lot of low angle closeup fisheye shots, a lot of sweeping boom shots that transition from one side of the bike to the other during skitches and stoppies, and the whole trailer has a healthy dose of color effects added.

well first off, there is no fish eye lense, there is no camera tricks, its real simple the guy is on rollerblades filming around the bike.
If you want to see more. go to www.caliboyzxtreme.com and put your name on the mailing list for the video. There are 2 videos coming out by NOV 2003, the first one is getting recut into a dvd and the second will be all NEW.
thanks Mike Nicely caliboyzxtreme

I thought it was good,as long as the cuts and zoom are used proportionally with the traditional shots.
