Most realistic Stunt Bike Videogame out

Re: Most realistic Stunt Bike Videogame out
ok so
i played this game for about 20 min without knowing there was a handbrake
then got that and played for another 10 min with it and this is what i came up with...
couple things to note: my computer is a piece of **** and lagged while rendering so the audio is fucked
and it also lagged while fraps was recording so my game slowed down tons making faster spins impossible but made technical stuff easier...
i found that i could catch idle in second gear and in the no hand circles you can see that where it smooths out no brake at all
and right after those fast circles i switch into neutral for those and spin those

HAHA nice man, a bit of chop chop though. Gotta smoothen those out. lol jk.
How did you spin on a dime? Is that the one you put in neutral?
Keep the clips coming the more we see what this game can do the better..

Re: Most realistic Stunt Bike Videogame out
umm handbrake is the same as normal brake once you do the config modification...
and yea its choppy cause my comp lagged hard during the recordign process...
but if you see the no hand circles theres a point where its super smooth...yea i caught idle in second there lol
and some of the fast ones i do in first and just get behind bp till its slow then brake hard so your in front of bp and gas it and it spins on a dime if you do it right....its fun haha
but yea i did one in neutral as well in that video

Re: Most realistic Stunt Bike Videogame out
pull the clutch in for stoppies (right ctrl, but i switched my clutch to left ctrl for easier stoppies)
then be very gentle on it
you can pull 180 endos in it pretty easy if you get the hang of it...
maybe ill post another vid soon...

Re: Most realistic Stunt Bike Videogame out
Please note that we are mainly just two regular guys from Finland making this game in our freetime. Nawi has made all the coding work and I have done nearly all of the graphics, levels etc. Other than two of us, only three other people has contributed something to this project so far (+ the music artists) so you just can't expect a proffessional next-gen quality product. We have been doing this more or less actively for some time now, but it is still very far from finished and suggestions are welcome.
And about xbox plans: (as nawi said when asked at our forums)
PS: To make the game look nicer we would need at least one texture artist, anybody interested? :D

If you give us a million USD I might consider it. The thing is that to make games for console you usually need a costly developing software and hardware, which is usually only sold to professional game developers. To make a professional quality game you also need a team of atleast 10 people, working full time for months, something that we cannot do.
Of course, if some publisher is reading this and wants to fund such a development I am interested. But in reality if they find this kind of game interesting, they will just make a copy of it (not a direct one of course).

Re: Most realistic Stunt Bike Videogame out
The game looks tight, I will have to check it out tonight. I would like to see someone try and get a hold a a big game producer like EA Games and make one that is mainstream. Imagine a arcade game or even on for a consol. I have ideas but no real way of putting them in motion. If someone knows how, let me know. I am getting sick of all the car games out there and no real underground street bike games.
