learning standup wheelies

I know me compared to a lot of you are horrible, but I am now just learning how to do standups. Since I myself like to watch videos of others that are just starting to learn I thought I would post one of myself. I am still not smooth with the throttle and I'm pretty sure that my body position is horrible. You are suppose to lean back and straighten out your legs right? I tried to straighten out my legs in the last couple and they felt a little better. If any one has any info to help me thanks.

Thumbs up Re: learning standup wheelies

I just learned them a couple of weeks ago. I did what k-fos23 said. I started them at almost stopped and popped the clutch. From the looks of the position of your forks, your about 6-12 inches away from balence point. Once you pop them up right at bp you'll have plenty of gear left and ride them out forever. Throttle control looks good. Now remember, this is coming from a beginner.

Re: learning standup wheelies

Slower approach definitely helps... It will be scary and wobbly but it will come to BP a lot easier
