Re: My Friend Learning 1st Gear Clutchups

Hi all . I'm new to this site and I have read a couple days at a time because I didn't wanna ask what has been prolly asked over and over. sorry for that.

I have a 2005 gsx-r and this is my 1st year as a rider. I'm comfortable riding all around. So I started being curious about wheelies because I had a girl on the back of my bike and the bike came up! I let off the throttle and held my clutch in when that had happen. That gave me a taste cause that was the 1st my wheel ever came up.

So now, I ride about 40mph in 1st gear and let off and crank the throttle! When it comes up, I roll back off the throttle so that I don't land hard as well as land softer. So it coast out the wheelie for how much I brung it up (learned that from reading this forum). So I been practicing slippin the clutch and WHAM! I finally bunny hopped it off the ground. So now I can get it off the ground going about 25mph and slippin the clutch. Then I tried power it up and now all of a sudden I'm crushing my NUTS! on the gas tank when I land. Basically I'm sayin I wanna start learning standing up wheelies for this matter cause I'm killing my man hood big time!

Sorry I wrote all this but I wanna know.....
For my experience as to what knowledge I have posted of my noobish activities, Is it ok to start out in 1st gear standing with left foot on passenger peg/right foot covering the brake going 25mph and when I bounce...slip the clutch? I don't wanna go all at once, I wanna work my way up cause I have yet to hit my balance point.

Well, I mean I rather here and get advice than to just hop on it and not know where to start....I've tasted the pavement @ 30mph, What's the use if nobody wants to help prevent a injury. Nobody would be at blame.....

If your new to riding. Take it slow.. Period..

Like iv said many a times.. iM no pro and in all the ways a COMPLETE NEWB!!!

Lets speak hypathetical. If I were you. i would find a parking lot.. Learn to clutch it up

and eventually gain more and more speed.. I got kinda into it in all the wrong ways..

But man. If you havent riden a bike much.. There is so much **** to say i'd create a thread in the Help and How to section.. and im sure alot of guys with 10X more experience will spend there time to help you out. and help you with your progression..

First thing you do is find someone you know that can do it. well.. and go from there..

I got some really killer guys around me.. and i still feal like im learnin to fuckn slow.. but im still all in one piece

Re: My Friend Learning 1st Gear Clutchups

Well, I'm gonna try standing wheelie because sitting down is killing my crotch! I came to you guys for ADVICE but you guys are sayin take it slow? I'm already clutching it up, I have no problem doing that. WHAT more is there to take slow? I said it before I'm not trying to do it all at once and I'm trying to have a start point! Seems you guys only wanna HELP when it's just someone you either know or talk to frequently.

go to a lot, put it in first, practice clutching it up, once you have it up, hit the brake do this over and over(thats how i learned brake control) thats the first most important thing to learn (brake control). once you learn that practice geting used to bp. then from there you should teach your self, but read this thread first before any thing: https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/443...ing-basic.html
