07.07.15 - Sunday in Hamilton - Car-lot practice

Well, finally got some video footage today (well, Sunday afternoon)... not much, due to a cop showing up due to some people on go-karts... (she told me I had to leave too, cause it wouldn't be fair to just tell the go-karts to leave and not me as well)

Unfortunately due to the short amount of time, didn't get much footage, or really warmed up properly (balance etc), but yeah, managed to chuck this together for you guys to have a look...

Ps. I'm still a n00b when it comes to stunting and I've know I've got a lot to learn... Any pointers/tips would be helpful, thanks

Get a cage. Slow down. Turn idle up. Lean back. and the list goes on and on and on and on and..........just practice.

Thanks dude... They don't make a cage for my bike, anywhere
Will lean back and turn the idle up... Redline is at 14k, and I've currently got the idle hovering around 2500 to 3000... what should I put it up to?

Can't afford to upgrade at this stage, and my bike isn't worth anything anyway, so I'll just carry on using it till it goes BOOM and then try afford another bike

clutch from a stand still (not just slip the clutch like your doing) make sure your covering your brake, and ride it a lil to slow down (this will be trial/error) leaning back is a must! and dont throttle chop.... it causes the wobbles, letting some air out of your back tire will help w/ the wobbles also

Re: 07.07.15 - Sunday in Hamilton - Car-lot practice

Well, yesterday I went out on some nice quiet roads with a mate and was trying out some 2nd gear standup wheelies... was going ok, till I did a really good one (just past balance point), the problem though: I couldn't find the rear brake pedal... so after about 2-3 seconds of 12ing on my number plate, the bike turned and then fell over... was doing around 60mph at the time, and it smashed my generator (left side cover)... so I'm off the road for a while, until I fix my bike... I'm pretty good, cause I used some unknown skills, and pulled myself on top of my bike (well, the side) so I didn't get scaped up too much....
Here's the aftermath - I left some nice slashes in the road...

arrrgh...****...but it happens...so let this be a lesson - get a cage, if you cant buy it, build it yourself...

as for your riding...focus on smoothing out your throttle - you don't have to go for height, just keep it constant and ride it out...

glad your ok, hope you fix the bike soon man
