Re: coaster practice...warning: not very good

thanks guys...

well i had some friends show up and one sugested i rev the bike while doing a coaster...as we all know a lot of stunters do that but i just didn't feel comfortable doing that just incase something happens and i let out he clutch while the throttle is on...so i take off, start doing a coaster, rev the bike a little and everything was fine, at that point i got a little throttle happy and started reving the bike a lot since everything was going good...when it was time to put it down i was still reving the bike (on my way down) but i let out the clutch and it shot me back up..hit the bar and got sideways...that's pretty much it

hey pete, i gotta come to detroit and ride with you guys again...just gotta pick up a new bike from standy

Re: coaster practice...warning: not very good

pretty good man. glad to see your progressing.. try using 2nd (if that's 1st) and use your body weight to hold it back if it feels like it'll come forward

Re: coaster practice...warning: not very good

thanks..yeah they are fun as hell, kind of like learing how to wheelie again...always trying to get them longer and better

you like sitdowns better? i haven't tried any because i have a hard time riding smooth balance point sitdowns but i'd definetly like to learn sitdown coasters

Re: coaster practice...warning: not very good

yeah i am using 2nd...maybe i'll try 3rd when i fix the bike but i'd rather get them long by not going fast and being just under balance point...then going fast and being at almost 12 (slowing down quick)

i'm not saying wrap out the gear.. it's just not as twitchy, and you can get it back cleaner.. the secret is to only touch the brake like every other second... and throw it back hard, time it right.. sometimes when i do them, i get it thrown back perfect, dont' even catch it with brake..
