Your problem is b/c it is .avi format. This usually is an uncompressed format causing quality to be good but size huge.
Render it as mpeg 2 format. Your quality will still be there but size will be alot smaller.

always render your edited or final video into .AVI this will provide a better output for your videos quality. Then render it into a format that is specific to your needs...ie internet download , internet steaming, storage onto hard drive, for a DVD...??
I have the vegas 4.0 + DVD its sick!!!!

yep. whats ur computer ID and i'll pass ya the serial to VV 4.0
Yeah the "print to tape" is awsome its DV quality when I send it to my Sony TRV11. I save all my final videos now onto DV.
Just to give ya an example.....
"Servin It Up" was like 14 gigs of the full video on a hard drive....send it to "Tape" and it was 45 minutes long. I like printing to tape now.

Hey thanks Baker,
The computer ID I used for the KeyGen was 19VX10S.
I have Vegas running, but it doesnt allow me to import
Mpeg 2 format due to registration issues.
I assume this is the file you are sending me ???
Thanks for the help.
So far it looks like a good editing s/w.
Is this what you used to make servin it up ???
Cheers

I didn't edit "Servin It Up" alot of the film shot was by me and many others, but Craig aka JamesBond edited this great video.
Ok about VV 4.0 to get the mpeg 1 or 2 you need a .DLL file or the DVD+ program bundled with the VV 4.0. I have the VV 4.0 + DVD and I can edit import or render in Mpeg 1 or 2.
Read on their website and if you become stuck buzz me back and I'll share all files with ya. But nothing is free in this world....sort of LOL
HINT: DVD program then find crack for it (I have that all)

BAKER....THIS VV, IS IT BETTER THEN "ADOBE PREMIER"?
I USED STUDIO 7, BUT I CAN CLEARLY SEE THE WEAKNESS IN THIS PROGRAM. I JUST DIDNT KNOW HOW TO USE THE ADOBE YET.
IS VV AS HEAD TO USE AS PREMIER FOR A NEW PRODUCER?
P.S. WE NEED TO START A TECH FORUM, AND USE YOU GUYZ TO HEAD IT UP...SOUNDS LIKE YOU ALL GOT MILK

I like V V because it is based around adobe but its easier.
same format using timelines, but its more up to date with its encoding , transfers to tapes, overall better for transitions, effects and tons of other things as well.

They would lock me up. This program is the best i have ever worked with and its easy! But it does take many hours of editing and there are days you get burned out of editing.
Just download their demos and I have all the serials for them.
buzz me at 510-847-1791 cell if you need anything
