Re: 12 practice went wrong?

im learning to 12 too, no bar, f4i. similar sort of level to you only im not getting it quite as high yet.. you just gotta keep it smooth.. the bikes only gone a little bit sideways once for me and it was because i was a bit too choppy on the throttle, but it wasnt enough to make me fall off... ive taken a step back again and getting smoother with the brake/throttle before tyring to 12 again.. just gotta take it easy, baby steps.. one step at a time etc.. keep it up, least it didnt look too painful when you fell, now you got a proper stunt bike too :YEAH every stunt bike should have some crash damage.

Re: 12 practice went wrong?

Classic mistake... you can hear rrrrrrright when the bike went left really hard you blipped the gas just a little bit and thats what threw the bike right and rolled over. People don't realize but on one wheel, all that power is at a flick of a wrist, and even a little turn on the throttle will mess you up bad. (as you can see) If you wouldn't have blipped the gas when the bike dropped to the left I'm pretty sure you would have pulled out of it!

Kanes Wheelie 101.... if something goes wrong, get off the gas completely!!!

Re: 12 practice went wrong?

Sorry, one more thing... I'm not raggin on ya, just giving you tips but it looks to me that either (A) you haven't exactly found a comfortable balance point all the way, but you know what it feels like or (B) you are afraid of balance point. B/c both wheelies, before the crash you were accelerating the whole time. The first one was nice and smooth but you were still accelerating, the 2nd one however I noticed that when you did get to balance point you let off the gas and brought the bike back down IMMEDIATELY. This is fine, but you should really learn to get comfortable with that feeling of the bike just falling back on you, and you being able to feather the back brake and pull out of it.

Whenever I pull my bike up, I'm at a dead stop... I bounce, clutch, and goose it all at the same time, bike pops up... catch it on the back brake and then give it a little throttle to start it rolling. After that, all I need are small little inputs on the throttle or brake. If you are going to 12, I highly suggest a 12 bar.

Just my 2 cents and what I noticed, but on the brighter note atleast now you got rid of one of those gay mirrors!!! HAHA jk man! Good luck!

Re: 12 practice went wrong?

I guess i did get ahead of myself a lil bit should have just been trying to slow em down or ride at a steady rpm before going for 12 fu<k it!:YEAH .

Damage: the front frame bracket snaped, cracked the front faring in half snaped of the front brake resevoir, the front rim is ****ed, bent to **** i dont even know how it still holds air, lol. its so bent it bounces when i ride it. and the gas tank has a nice deep dent scratch in it. other then that it aint to bad that FI cage worked like a champ.

Repair cost: haha, I just ordered a brake res., and a acerbis headlight kit, striped all farings. Im going to rock it like that for now, warrior style! mabey i should do something bout that front rim though slap on my 12 bar and im good to go. Do it again this weekend and post up some more footage; you guys are going to get my whole stunt tranning from this footage tell i can ride like a gangsta:YEAH

All tips welcome

Re: 12 practice went wrong?

Nah... your back tire was no flatter than any other stunter I've seen. I ran my 929 at 12-15. Worked great for me. A tire thats on the rim still has like 7psi in it, and your tire wasn't that flat... looked about right.
