Camcorder to Computer

I was wondering if yall could help me out. I need to know what all I need to get so I can take footage from my camcorder and put it on my computer. I read something about s video hook up or somthing like that but I dont know aht all I need to get. On the manual for the camcorder it says, Sony Digital 8, DCR-TRV103/TRV110. We bought it back in 98 so its sorta old. If any one knows how to get stuff from the camcorder to the computer that would be great. Also What program would be good to make videos with, how much would it cost? Thanks

Re: Camcorder to Computer

if you are just making clips for yourself then yeah moviemaker is real good...super easy to figure out and use...even if you move on to something more complex later moviemaker is still a good place to start...
