Absolutely crazy. That rider should NOT have been going that fast coming to an intersection... even if it's his right of way. I always assume someone's gonna pull out, and a lot of the times, they do. RIP.

Re: Tragic R1 accident in Europe...

Not nearly as graphic as everyone here made it out to me. Sure it's sad, but people die on bikes every day and lots are way worse. At least he had a quick death. I'll bet he died when he hit the road.

2 years ago some dude, w/ out his helmet, crashed into a bus stop bench right outside my house. He hit his head on the bench. there was blood on the road for several days.

Re: Tragic R1 accident in Europe...

This **** happens in Romania, this is country next to mine in Europe...in these countries there are no rules...everyone drives how he wants and none drives by the law because the police are corupted ...for example yesterday i receive a letter from photo radar that cought caught me with 170km/h with speed limit 50km/h and when i get to the fukin police i give em 20$ and my speed ticket disappear ...so this is inevitabil to happen ....

rip for the guy

It's not that great of a video. I don't know why there is so much hype about it.

Re: Tragic R1 accident in Europe...

For some reason, when someone dies on a bike, it's always some tragic heart felt accident. Truth is, if I'm going to get hard enough to die, I'd much rather be on the bike! Too many people die in car accidents, but they die in the hospital a while later. I'd rather go in the blink of an eye. Bikes don't kill people...people who don't pay attention to wtf is going on around them kill people. Be aware of what is going on around you at all times and assume that the people in cars are probably going to run you off the road, slam on their brakes, or cut you off. If you always think like this, you're chances of survival go up a little.
