Hi, my name is Jeff and Im going into the army, kind of nervous though, but at the same time kind of happy. I am heading to Fort Benning and I am going to sweat my azz out there. Just wanted some feedback or something

Army basic was good time, AIT was better...um i don't think Ft Benning is "fun" for basic and if you are going there for infantry school. From what i have heard from some guys is that the only women you see are the ladies serving food in the DFAC. There will be some parts that just suck, just remember it all ends after 9 weeks! if you are there for basic and AIT well it still ends don't worry. I bet though that you will enjoy yourself. good luck

 

As for being fun in Benning, I don't think so. I was there in 98 and that was the hardest trainning I've ever gone threw. Sandhill is hell. And when you go on pass, stay on base the town just outside is pretty bad. But its a once in a life time trainning. You'll look back at it and love it, after your home, though
