229th Birthday of the Army, by M. W. Hagee, Genreal USMC

It is with my honor to extend heartfelt congratulations to members of the United States Army as you celebrate your 229th anniversary.

Since June 14th, 1775, American soldiers have inspired their fellow citizens with their selfless sevice to the nation. the long history of battlefield accomplishments and the courage of the men and women who fill the Army's ranks are a source of pride for all Marines and freedom loving people accross the wolrd. Today in Iraq, Afghanistan and other hostile locales, Marines are privilegded to serve along side our Army brethren as we work together to secure peace and prosperity.

Marines stand in admiration of the U.S. Army's many contributions to teh global war on terroism, and we are proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you in defense of our great nation.

Semper Fidelis, M. W. Hagee, General, U.S. Marine Corps, Commandant of the Marine Corps.//

Happy Birthday Ali and to all of the US ARMY!!

Re: 229th Birthday of the Army, by M. W. Hagee, Genreal USMC

Funny story, off topic but kinda funny. There are all sorts of change of commands going on out here lately and today i was part of one. Well I was executing Present Sword, and when i went back up to Carry Sword I sliced a huge gash in my cheeck like right where my cheek bone is. I dont know how i did it. I am awsome with my NCO sword and I just dont know how i did it. Needless to say i now have 5 stitches in my cheek and some blood stained chucks. I think that it was because my hand was sooooo sweaty that the sword just slipped a little and, well, made me look like an *** in front of ALOT of people. Any way.......just thought i'd share that. :YEAH

At least you didn't lose your bearing and completed the movement flawlessly right? I would expect no less.

Thanks for the chuckle, and remember everyone makes mistakes!

Yeah thats shitty. I was watching the State Funeral in the rotunda last night and I just felt so bad for the Honor Guard members from all the services. In bravo's in that heat, must have been hell. It was a Flawless ceremony though and made me proud.

Yea, actually I was so worried that i f'ed up the ceremony that i didnt notice i was bleeding profusley from my face until another Marine came out to replace me like 10 minutes later. I was like "What the hell are you doing?" I couldnt beleive that I actually cut myself. But, Yes, I did keep my bearing and still looked flawless. Besides the unserviceable chucks now.

That is probably the most embarrasing thing i have done in my military career. Anybody care to share theirs?

What are Chucks? I was having a less than honorable conversation about BJ's or some dirty aspect of sex with the First District admiral standing behind me, she was pissed

With 3 minutes left on lunch break at Marine Security Guard School in Quantico, I **** myself.

You read that right.

And my ******* roomate ran into the bathroom so I couldn't assess the damage. I had to go door to door till I found someone still in their room and use thier bathroom.

Prognosis: BAD!

anyone else?
