it's funny how many marines out there with their usmc tats that they got as soons they got out of boot camp and end up getting out or sayin how joining the corp was a mistake.

 

my brother fell off the ropes on the o course and broke his back and got elsed, but he stiall has a devil dog tatoo

 

i re-enlisted so im not worried about it...

 

plus even after you leave the corps your still a marine. im only 17 now but i plan on joining the USMC soon as i turn 18, anyone got some info for me i need to know? PM me

 

If I make it through boot I want the navy anchor on my arm. However, I thought tat's were looked down upon now by the service?

who cares, once your in you can get a tat pretty much anywhere except your head/face and as long as its not derogatory(sp)

 

One of my friends got a tattoo on his neck to get kicked out, instead they gave him a "A" school... I would suggest not getting the "popeye" anchors frogger. Alot of people have em and all I've talked too regret it. The Navy isn't coming down on tattoos too hard, you'll go through alot of ***** though. They try to make you wear long sleeves all the time. I dunno, just my 2 cents.

thanks all for the tips. I wasn't going for the popeye look, just one small one on my right arm, like near the shoulder, just under the sleeve. But, I'll probably wait until I get out. thanks!

 

 

Going to be adding more too this one. Next week i start my tribal sleeve on my right arm.
