Newbie!!

hey, I just joined the Navy and am in the DEP program, because I need a kick in the *** to straigten me out, I want to see the world, free college, and to serve and protect my country.

BTW, any suggestions, comments, words of wisdom?? and also, what's the rules for having a bike on base??

thanks!!

Welcome Bro....You might hate it at first but it gets better. Riding on base sucks. Long pants, boots, long sleeves, and vest at night. You will also have to complete a motorcycle safety course. All bases are different but that is what it will probably be like. Do you know what your job will be yet? Good Luck.

Bro, make sure you are getting a signing bonus, and the college fund. You have to ask to get it most of the time they will not offer it to you, but you should be eligable. PM me, I would like to give you some more info on what to watch out for when joining.

Hey good luck in the Navy...I'm an IT1 and have been in for 7 1/2 years and as long as you stick with my modo: "Never be first, Never be last and Never volunteer yourself" you should be alright.

Great advice but if you want honour grad or something you gotta show leadership qualities like volunteering
