little pi$$ed

so my brother leaves tomorrow for the airforce. im stoked he wants to do something with his life. so the recruiter ask him awhile ago why he wants to do this. my brother replys so i can become a cop and get health benefits etc etc. so he signs up takes the test. they say when your done with basic training you can retake the test, get health benifits, the whole 9. well he met today with his recruiter and they say you cant retake the test, you cannot get health benifits or buy into them, and you didnt need to sign up to become a cop. and now he leaves tomorrow for 3 months of training. **** these people that mislead these kids into a world of promises and then screw them. now for you in the special forces and whatnot t his is not directed to you for protecting our country, letting us survive at your expense. this is to the shallow recruiter that lied to my brother.

anyody have info on test retake or getting the benifits?????

feed back will be appreciated????

I can't really blame the recruiter. It's been said 500000 times in the world, if it's not in the contract it's not guaranteed.

What a joke.

The military is a job. You get out what you put in. People think going into the military thinking it will make you be able to put a square peg in a round hole. If you think it will make you become something, it won't unless you work for it. Having a military background will most definitely help you get a job in the police force or anywhere for that matter..

It's funny to see people get pissed when they actually have to do something they signed up for.

Btw. If your brother works hard, and proves his worth theres NO reason being in the AF won't help him become a LEO. Never forget that theres NO guarantees in life.

No health benefits? I'm 99.999999% sure WHILE in everything is paid for. Afterwards it's not, unless you do 20 years, then you get a pension and what not.

if he's active duty he gets health care, it's called TRICARE.
all acitve duty people get it. while you are in basic if you are sick or injured you go to the troop medical center, you don't pay for it.

when you get out you probably won't be getting health care, but even if you get the lowest possible score, basic soldier needs that are provided are clothing (aka uniforms), food, shelter, and health care.
