What should I expect. I'm fairly certain I'm going for infantry, so there would be SOI, but what about after that assuming I dont get shipped out? I know theres PT etc. but I assume they give you a task like security or something?

 

after soi, i got on a bus and went directly to 29 plams, ca, the asscrack of the world.

 

I was told I can request for west coast, east, or overseas. I'm thinking maybe overseas so I can experiance a differant culture and ****. But if not then definitly west coast.

I mainly meant whats daily life like... I have a good idea, and the recruiters have told me, but I want some real life experiances, not recruiters bs.

 

U can Be like me and get lucky and get italy...oh **** u will love it there!! bike and girs and bikes and girls..............but dont get ****in married like me.........!!!!!!!1

 

For the most part, and it just all depends on the command you get but no matter what you get time off. If you go infantry ya it will be a little less time but you get time off. It's almost a job...just not 9-5. weekends off and everything...i work from 6 to 4:30 everyday and after that my bike is already loaded in my truck so i just go straight to spot for a couple hours then go home and do it all over again.

 

i doubt youll get to request east west or overseas, i thought so to, but negative. did not happen that way. most likely youll be at 29 palms. it seems like thats where everyone goes. when you gonna be done with bootcamp?

 

Uhhhh I go last week of august sooolast week of november I guess. I'm gunna see if I can get 2nd week of Sept. so I can be here for xmas, lol.
